We were at the BC for a 10 day stay. We were on the dining plan for the first time.

The BC is GORGEOUS!! We absolutely loved it. However, we really didn't feel like there were enough options for counter service, especially for breakfast. We came home with 7 counter services left. Also, Hurricane Hannah's closed at six, so that really limited our choices. Bus service was not all that great. There were times we were waiting for well over 1/2 hour for a bus both to and from the parks. I wish they would split it up more. It makes it a very long trip stopping at the swan and dolphin, boardwalk, and yacht and beach club.

The parks are HOT and CROWDED. Holy cow! Even fastpasses didn't help all that much. If we hadn't been there so many times in the past, we would have really felt like we didn't get much done at all.

I'd be happy to answer any questions.

oh yeah! We got our first upgrade. At check in we were told we were upgraded from standard view to waterview. It was awesome. We had a full balcony on the second floor, overlooking the quiet pool.

You're right- there really aren't too many CS options at the BC- unless you use the pool, or the BC Market Place or walk over to the Boardwalk. But I can't believe you left with unused CS credits! You could've traded those for snack credits and brought 14 snacks home!

Is there a place to get a cheeseburger and fries on the DDP ? That's pretty much all DD and I use our CS credits for.:thumbsup2

We just moved over to BC from AKL and I don't really know anything about this resort.:thumbsup2

You can get a burger at Hurricane Hannah's at the pool. And you can also get a burger at Beaches and Cream- but it will count for a TS meal.

BC has a relatively new food market in it. They have fantastic salads- they are HUGE and count as 1 CS meal. They're made to order. My DH and I split this as lunch one day. They offer sandwhiches and soup as well. They do have breakfast offerings as well- but it's a little limited as to what you can get for breakfast. In general they have choc. croissants- REALLY YUMMO!!, Cinnamon Buns, Bagels, Muffins and coffe cake. They also have gelato there... yummo!! Don't forget at the Market Place you can also use one of your snack credits for a whole box of Entemann donuts! That right there could be breakfast for some of us for a few days! IN addition to all this, they have a small general store area that you can get frozen burritos, forzzen pizza etc. in.

Coco- I noticed that you were moving over to BC from AKL- you will be so glad you did!! This is a fabulous resort!

If you have any other questions, I'd be ahppy to give you any info you need!

Well- you can get your cheese burger there, but no fries... they serve chips instead. I'm a meat eatre myself, but if you should choose to venture into veggie land... they do ahve grilled chicken you can add to those salads!

MAAAAAAYBE.... just a little!

Listen- if you love meat... you have got to get a steak at the Yachtsman Steak House! OMG!! It is to die for! The BEST steak I've ever had in my life. Unfortuanely... it's 2 table service credits, but well worth it!

BC is our Favorite resort.

We are going on the dining plan for the first time on our next trip.

My question is why didn't you use the CS part of the plan in the parks?

We did use the CS credits in the parks when we were there, but to be perfectly honest, we spent more time at the resort than ever before. We absolutely LOVED the BC and the parks were so hot and crowded, we opted for the more relaxing side of WDW this trip.

Perfectly understandable!

Plenty of times DD & DH would head to the parks and I read a book at the pool all day. This one time they came back after 3 hours, they only had done 2 rides, guess who had the better time;) .

I noticed fries on the HH menu posted on Allears. It is listed as a side or something like that...saw it a few weeks ago. I wonder if you could use a snack credit to get the fries?

There is an excellent yogurt parfait that you can get for either a QS or snack credit at breakfast at BCMarketplace. Omeletees on croissants are another QS option at breakfast and are quite tasty. We typically split an omelet and parfait/two people.

You're right about the fries- I'm just not sure if they would be included in the CS or not. The menu says the burgers are served with chips so.... who knows? I forgot about the parfait and the eggs on the croissant. We had both of them and they were also pretty tasty and were easily split between DH and I with more then enough to fill us both.

We had burgers from HH about a year ago and only chips came with the burgers. I don't think fries were even available then though as I would have ordered them for my son OOP or not. He really doesn't care for chips. He's diabetic and I think they're just too salty for him.

The burgers weren't very good either unfortunately.

Yep, love that parfait and enjoy the croissants as well.:thumbsup2 I did think there were fewer berries and more yogurt in May than on our previous visits. But still plenty of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. OK, that's what I'm going to have for breakfast. Then I can pretend I'm at BCV.

I couldn't help but noticed what months you have visited WDW. We would take Feb. over June in a heartbeat! The weather in Feb. is so much more pleasant isn't it? The crowds were smaller too. When we went in June, 2005, it was 96 degrees every day! I do not think I can do a summer in Orlando again. February weather has spoiled me. :rotfl:

Kathy :goodvibes

My try, you got that right! That's the end of our summer trips to Florida. February is a much better time to go.
