Just a quick trip report!

We arrived Friday evening and it was still raining so we ditched our plans to set up camp and roast hotdogs and instead headed to DTD and ate a nice meal at Wolfgang Puck Express.

After dinner we set up--it was muggy and dark so a little bit of a challenge:lmao: We were pretty sweaty so caught a bus to the pool to cool off before bed. They are doing work on one of the 2000 loop comfort stations so we really had to hike to the next one--not that fun!

Saturday we went to Blizzard Beach--crowded but still a good time! I got bit by a bunch of flying gnats/ants though. Nobody else of course!

After lunch at the campsite we took the boat to MK and caught the monorail to resort hop and mess around. Then took the boat back to FW and caught a few zzz'z in the hammocks--loved this! Cooked out again for dinner, hit the campfire (the singer was in rare form that night--really singling people out and nitpicking!) and then to the pool for one last dip.

Sunday we packed up and drove abt 30 mins to Wekiwa Springs. That was great--the water is freezing but beautiful.

Overall a wonderful trip--we may head back in August for a few nights!

Glad to hear you had a good time..........was the campfire singer Ms Sundee by any chance?

Yes she was there this past weekend!!

sounds like a great vaca! I am always the one to get bit by bugs too and nobody else seems to be bothered. The hammock nap sounds so nice!

Sounds like you had a great time! Did you have an AC by any chance? I hear so many tenters getting ACs for their tents for July and August but I just don't see how :confused3

you'd be surprised what you see. We saw one on top of a cooler, and one on top of two stacked tables...... didn't look safe, but I guess they were cool.

my GF and I were tent camping from June 30th - july 6th in site 1807. No a/c just used a fan and had acanopy over the tent. At night temp was 68 inside the tent. Afternoon temp was 75 not bad at all

We leave in two weeks and are staying in tents at FW! We did buy a portable a/c. I was worried about the little one 8 months and my DD who is expecting being cool. lol ok, I was worried about me being too hot! Anyway, I hope it works to keep us cool enough to sleep at night. We don't spend much time in our rooms usually so I don't see us spending much time in a tent! Guess going back to the room during the hottest part of the day for naps and to cool off isn't such a good idea.:rolleyes1

No we didn't have AC or a fan! I did open the tent flap to let air in through the screen but that's it! I thought it felt fine and I even used covers in the middle of the night (laid on top of the sleeping bag when first getting to sleep).

Sounds like you had a great time!!!!!
