Just got back yesterday, we went from Nov 12 - 18th. We had booked a standard view but I had sent in my request for an upgrade twice (with some jokes attached) and when we got there he offered me a Epcot view with a balcony for only $30 more a night. I thought that was awesome. We were on the 6th floor and not only could we see Illuminations we could see Wishes. I have pictures of both from the Balcony!
We absolutely loved the hotel. It was beautiful. Pictures just don't do it justice, we would just stand outside looking at the lake and at the dolphin sort of in awe.
The restaurants we weren't so crazy about, we didn't try any in the Dolphin though. We mainly ordered room service, we loved how it came up on the table and how nicely they set it up. I would highly recommend trying the Pan Charred New York steak on the In Room Dining menu!
The beds were SO comfortable, we didn't really go to the parks much because we don't go in the morning, we go in the afternoon or evening and after some time at the pool I'd conk out on the bed and refuse to get up. THAT'S how comfortable they are.
We loved the grotto pool the only thing is it was FREEZING. The pool was heated you could feel it in certain spots but I don't think the heater is powerful enough that size of a pool.
Also they had order in movies on the TV, but their prices were $11.99 and 12.99. We couldn't help it we watched two.
All in all we think it was just great and we plan on going back sometime soon! Maybe April!
Oh yeah. We would NEVER EVER go back in the summer again. The weather was so nice. Mainly in the high 70's low 80's. And dropped in the 60's at night. And I never saw a line on a ride have a queue of more then 20 minutes and we ended up going during some busy times, 1-3PM, etc.
Thanks to the advice I uploaded my pictures to album on clubphoto.com I'm going to add the link but if it doesn't work search for T0Good4u99@aol.com. Btw the trip was me and my mom and some of the pictures include obviously the Swan, the closer fireworks are Illuminations from our balcony the ones that are further away is Wishes. I've only got 19 photo's uploaded so far but I'm going to keep adding as the day goes by.
My album!
