just got back from 7 great days aboard the Disney Fantasy. My wife and I have 2 kids, 11 and 12 and we had a great time.

Weather was OK. Wish there was a bit more sun but temps were in high 70s low 80s all week. Few cloudy days but didn't prevent us from having an incredible week.

Star Wars day was so much fun. Kids got to fight Darth Vaderi in Jedi training and we met
Darth Vader, Captain Phasma, Chewbacca, sand people, imperial officers and guards, storm troopers, a bounty hunter, and jawas. Lots of people dressed up, including my family. So much fun seeing all the costumes. Fireworks were incredible.

We were given our first two choices for the ticketed meet and greet. Only thing was I wished they had more than one character at this meet and great. It also would have been cool to see Jedi mickey or Princess Leia minnie.

In all we had a blast. Never been to Star Wars weekends so this was great. Hope to go on a future Star Wars cruise. Any questions?

Do you sign up for the Jedi training ?And is the ticketed meet & greet similar to the A& E one, you get on board and request tickets?

The Jedi training is done in the walt Disney theater. They had 5 or 6 shows and kids were selected at random from the audience. They opened the theater 30 min prior to the show so if you wanted to have a chance to be picked you needed to get there early.

For the meet and greet the was a form left in your room the first night asking you to indicate your choices of type of character you'd like to meet (ex: dark side) from 1 to 3. Everyone I spoke to got there first 2 choices at an assigned time. If you didn't hand in the form, you did not get a ticket.

We are going on April 16th. Were the costumes worn all day, or just at night (like Pirate night)?

You definitely saw the most after 4 o clock but some people did wear them all day. The characters start appearing at 9 am so some people wanted pics with characters while they were in costume. It's so much fun.

Thank you, we totally cannot wait!
My kids had their costumes on all day. My wife and I put ours on around 2. There are some that have elaborate great costumes. You'll have a blast.

Who was the guest speaker?

Do you feel it was worth the 20% upcharge?

Not the OP but... I did the Feb 20th SWDAS sailing. No, I don't think it is worth the 20% up charge, especially since two of the major elements (fireworks and the special buffet) are removed from pirate night and given to SWDAS instead. That said, I had booked prior to the announcement, so I didn't pay the surcharge. Same thing happened to me for my Feb 2017 sailing - I booked before the announcement. Had I paid 20% more I'd have been pretty pissed off.

Same

We were on last week's cruise too. We too booked before the SW announcement, so we didn't pay the premium. As a SW fan (not to the extent of some though), the SW day was cool. But not worth 20% premium.

Me, too. I had a feeling they were gonna do it again and I wanted to be grandfathered into the pre-SWDAS price.

For the character meets are you able to meet both good guys and bad guys? Do you only get 2 or are there other times where you can stand in line to meet the characters?

On our cruise a couple weeks ago you received tickets for two (out of 3) scheduled meet and greets, and you didn't get to select the characters. For example, Bespin (I think) had Chewbacca and Boba Fett - you only get one character out of two possible ones.

No other lines that I saw. You could get pictures with random characters though, as they're wandering around the lobby area. We saw jawas, sand people, imperial guards (face characters), the red imperial guards from Ep 3, Zam Wessel (I think that's the name - bounty hunter from Ep 2), one of the things from Jabba s in Ep 6, storm troopers, and the girl jedi with the long things coming out of her head (gets killed in Ep 3,but I think has a larger part in rebels or something I don't watch).

I read somewhere that they play mostly Star Wars movies the entire week in the theater. We're there other movies played during the week?

There were three choices for characters, Bespin, Tatooine and one more. At one you would meet a character from the dark side. I believe it was either Darth Vader, Darth Maul or captain Phasma (we met Phasma). At Bespin it was either Boba Fett or Chewbacca (we got chewbacca) and on Tatooine it was R2-D2 and C3PO. You needed a ticketed time slot to go in. On our cruise they went to a second day of meet and greets. Our Bespin time was on Thursday afternoon and it was empty so we had Chewbacca basically to ourselves for 10 minutes. So I walked over to the Tube which is where we met Phasma and there was hardly no line and I aske dthe cast member who was there and they said Darth Vader. i aske dif we could go in, and she said the line is really short go ahead. So you may want to ask as if the crowd is light, they may let you see an extra character.

Ad far as other characters, there were storm troppers, sand people, jawas, imperials guards, imperial officers, characters from Jabba's lair just roming the atrium and deck. You can grab them for photos whenever you want.

Yes, there were other movies. They usually played one Star Wars movie a day in the Buena Vista theater, except for Star Wars Day where it was nothing but Star Wars. The other days we saw Zootopia, Bridge of Spies, Muppets, etc.
