It took a while to post this with all the work I had to do when I got back. But 1st off, what happened to the boards while I was gone?
Had a conference at the Wyndam. It took 2 min to drive from SSR. that was great. We really loved SSR and thought it was a great place. We own at HHI and we still think SSR is a good place. Don't understand all the complaints. I mean technical bugs to be worked out like heat and air, yes but that happens with any new place where people keep changing the settings.
I'm not saying that SSR is the greatest resort at WDW, but the one thing that makes it better that the other resorts is the water. SSR has the best shower on property. The pressure is really strong. The water is free from the taste and smell that the Epcot and MK resorts and parks have.
Checkin in was great, got our 1bd room at 9:00 am. THat was good as I had a sleeping 16 month old that was tired from getting up at 4 am to fly.
The parks seemed to be crowded but the lines to rides were only 5-25 min. long. It was odd to hardly be able to move down the walkways, and not have to wait in line.
Now for the scary stuff, We were in the room when I reached down to take out of my baby's hand the blue pill he found on the floor and was moving to put in his mouth. Had I not be watching him I do not know what could have happened. We would not have even known that he swallowed medication. Any pharm's out there that might know what this is, It was dark blue capsule with white powder inside. no markings or numbers on capsule.
Had to leave MVMCP after only 1 hour because DW got really sick. She is 20 weeks pregnant and we just thought it was because of that. at 2 am we end up at Celebration Hospital ER. She was fine the next day and just stayed in bed the next day and half. (My mom came with us, so that helped with watching the baby.) BTW, my mom slept very well on the pull out sofa. She said she liked it better than the one at BCV.
DS loves the characters. He just laughed and hugged and kissed everyone he saw. Even the slack-jawed country bears he loved. At playhouse he was a side show. everyone was turning around to watch him dance, and laugh at seeing his first live show.
We had a great time, even with getting sick, and a trip to the ER. And we love SSR. For those of you going there soon, don't pay any attention to the negitives. Some people would find somthing about Heaven to complain about. Make up your own mind once you have stayed.
