Just back from SSR

We just got back from our 1st official member stay at SSR (stayed 2 times previously on rented points).
We had such a great time. We love this resort, so much so, that it's hard to leave it and try other places!

We arrived at 11am. My mom and DS took DME and arrived a bit before us in the rental car. I did not do online check-in and I really worked out as there was a line for OCI and no one in line for regular check in. I was escorted to the counter and got checked in. I received both of my 'requests'-ground floor, grandstand room. I received the room cards and asked if the room was ready... It WAS!

We stayed in a 2bedroom, room 9510. Great location-we overlooked the golf course-very quiet. We could always find close parking and enjoyed the short walk to the main building/boat to DTD. The grandstand pool and play area was nice-perfect for our 4yr old. We also drove to the new Paddock pool and that pool is just WOW!
We ate at Artist's palette and the new CS at the Paddock pool. The food was ok. Pizza at AP was the worst food we ate all week.
We finally got the lay of the land down on this trip and didn't get lost too much-both at the resort and getting around WDW.
We used RAC and everything went smoothly!

Soo happy with our DVC purchase and can't wait for many more great trips in the future!!

Thanks for your review! My husband and I will have our first trip there as DVC owners after Thanksgiving (we weren't able to book BWV-our home resort) due to late timing of our resale contract.
I am worried about finding my way around the resort-have never stayed or even walked on the property. Hopefully we won't get too lost!
Sounds like you had a wonderful time-we can't wait to visit Mickey again!

Stayed at SSR for the first time this July and LOVED it! Our home resort is VWL, so we were skeptical about SSR due to the condo style. It was so quiet and pretty and we loved Artist's Palette and the pool.

Looking for an add-on there!!

Welcome home!

We're heading back to SSR in a few weeks. It was our first home resort, and still my personal favorite. We've been in the THV our last two times there, and I'm looking forward to being back in the main area for this upcoming trip. This is one of the rare trips that we'll have a rental car, so I haven't even put in a preference for a particular section.
