Just Back from SOG

Returned home last night. The hotel is beautiful and finally finished. I went in April when it opened and there was a big improvement with this stay. Ate at Mangino's, the new Italian restaurant, and it was wonderful. I highly recommend it.

Is there a wing or section or room area that is best to request for 3 rooms of family, with children, who will need to be near each other and pool, etc?? How was the bus service? Did you golf? Is there a discount/how does it work to plan a golf outing? (I have a SIL who will want to do that rather than parks) Also, I have heard good and bad about the breakfast buffet, what did you think? How are the room safes? any problems with the rooms?

If you want to be close to the pools, I would suggest that you stay in the old section. We stayed in the old section and it was close to everything and in good condition. The breakfast buffet was great. We had it every morning. We only took the bus to the Ticket and Transportation Center and it ran on time. They now also have a dedicated bus directly to Downtown Disney. We used the room safe and had no problems - it was easy to operate.

I have a few SOG quetions for you; if you don't mind. Me, DH and DD (4yr) will be staying at SOG in May 05 for 6N/7D; we only plan on going to MK, AK and Epicot and maybe Downtown Disney. We're currently decide just to have a car service (to and from the airport) and to use SOG/Disney tran. while we are there. Do you really think there is a really need for a rental car? Also, does SOG have babysitting services like the other hotels? We would like to have at least one parents only dinner. Thanks.
