Stayed at RPR for four nights and just got home today. It was a wonderful hotel, but i was a little upset with the inconsistencies. I traveled with a group of 11. We had one king suite and three standard rooms. Two rooms were AAA, the other two were booked for GA residents with the Florida resident rate. All rooms had a Loews First member. I knew that the FLO rate rooms probably wouldn't get the Loews perks. When i asked for my AAA room Loews First perk, i was told that my room price was too low ($183) to qualify for our perks. WT?!? Well, i left it at that, but when i went to the desk for something else, i asked a different person who said that our room did qualify. OK! Also, before the trip, I tried to find out if al lof the king rooms had a sofabed in them. Central ressies said yes, RPR front desk sometimes said yes, sometimes said only a few. Well the true answer is that they don't all have a sofabed. I was assigned one without one, then moved to one that did have one. We all requested turndown service, which some received and some didn't. Some were left with a gift on the bed or table (key chain, anklet, etc). When checking out, we all requested late check-out. I was given 12:30 check-out when I checked-in. The other rooms were told to call at 7am on check-out day. I even called the night before we checked out and got a 1:30 check-out, but the others still couldn't get an answer until 7am. Overall, our stay was great. My only problem was the difference in policies, which were noticable because we had four rooms. I hated getting things that the other rooms didn't get, or vice versa. Especially since it wasn't because of the discounted room rate. My trip report will soon follow.

Not all rates get you the Loews benefits. AAA and rack rate are the only ones that are supposed to get them although if the hotel isn't too busy you sometimes can luck out. So just because every room had a Loews member, that doesn't mean that every room qualified.

I agree though that sometimes you get things if the person you talk to is so inclined to give them to you, not because you are necessarily entitled to them.

Damo, my problem wasn't with our room being booked with a non-qualifying rate. Our room was with a AAA rate, but the person at the desk said that the amount of money that we paid wasn't enough to get our perks. Also, the other AAA room didn't get their perks, but one of the FLO rooms did. I understand that sometimes non-qualifying rooms may get perks, but I didn't see why the AAA rooms didn't.
