This is our second time staying at the RPR and again we enjoyed it very much. The room was bigger than our Pop Century room, so we were able to stretch out just a little bit more.
We enjoyed the walk down to Citywalk and the parks, as well as the boat ride. My family enjoyed the pool and my 2 littlest loved the sand area to play in.
***At check-in they gave us the doodle pads for the kids, I asked if they still had the bucket and shovel for the sand, and the front desk lady said yes and went in back to get them.***So ask for them when you check in!"
We utilized Kids Nite Out in room baby sitting service, and again for the second time was happy with their services and would reccommend them to any parents needing some quality time away from the kids.
We ate at Jake American Bar and Grill and had the Pu Pu platter, my kids laughed about the name for at least 2 days. We also had a smoked chicken pizza with bbq sauce and crushed peanuts, which was awesome.
We ordered room service, 1 time for kids, when we went out. Also one time, when we couldn't get into a City walk restaurant. The food seemed like it was from Jake's. We saw similar items on the menu. Good sandwiches.
We ate at Pastamore, which was suprisingly good, my husband had some pear and ricotta stuffed shells and loved it, I had lasagna and it was pretty good.
We ate at Emerils on our night out. My dh had the lamb, and I had the sirloin steak. My steak was awesome, dh liked the lamb, but wasn't blown out of the water. They have awesome mai-tai's here, not normal mai-tai's, the sames ones that they have at Tchoup Chop, they mint sprigs in them. We ate at Tchoup Chop 2 years ago and Emeril's this trip.. We have to say that we preferred the atmosphere and food at Tchoup Chop better. Service was great at both restaurants.
We ate lunch at Margaritaville, I had the cuban meatloaf sandwich, that was great.. Kids loved the Kraft Mac-n-Cheese that they have here. Don't forget the awesome margaritas. Best in the world, I think!
All in all, great trip, FOTL access will keep us coming back to Universal Orlando Resorts.
