:woohoo:

Felt pretty good to be amongst the first to ride - there was a real party atmosphere going on. You had to show either DVC membership cards or Annual Passes, plus photo ID, to access it from both Dinoland and Asia. Standby was averaging 20 minutes and FASTPASS return was
approximately 1.5 hours out most of the time we were there.

The first time riding was pretty scary (for me, anyway, not knowing what to expect), but after that it was a doddle!

The limited edition pins (Passholder 1500 and DVC 2000) sold out. At $10.95 each, that's around $40K in Disney's coffers without accounting for all the merchandise sold (we spent $70 without even trying).

I can't wait to ride it! I saw someone has some pics posted and it looks like the tracks were torn apart- very cool. I want to buy a Yeti!!! So you are right I'm sure I could drop $70 with no problem.

Sounds fantastic ~ Thanx for posting.

We can hardly wait to try it, UKDEB!

Did you notice how children were reacting to it? Disney rates it for 5 year olds but we're not convinced. What do you think for a starting age?

BTW...if you're still in Orlando on Sunday pick up a Sentinel. :thumbsup2

Sounds awesome, can't wait!

Did you get your free pin and lanyard?

YIPPEE sounds great! What did you buy?!! And do you think my 8 year old will be ok on it? She has done RNR and is ok with it but doesn't love it.- loves SM and BTMR. Thanks.

Could not make it for the DVC preview. Going Feb 26th to March 3rd, hope i can ride then, AP oe DVC?

Cool that you got to do it. This is one I really want to try!

Cool! Sounds like fun!

One question: I've read that you need to get a voucher for the lanyard/pin. Where do you do this?

Thanks so much -- we'll be there Saturday!

Just got back home - and we were lucky enough to ride this morning, too! very fun ride!!! We had to run like mad this morning so we could ride Everest and make a 1 pm flight. LOL

Pin/Lanyard vouchers were dispensed from one of the fastpass machines. (it was the one all the way to the right as you're facing them this morning)

LOVED IT!!! We got there bright and early. One got in standby line while other went to get fast passes (this took about 2 minutes). We waited about 15 minutes and the cars were not going out full at that point. The Sneak Peak lanyard and pin tickets were given out as you went thru the line. We also got tickets for the DVC and AP pins while in line. Rode once, bought our DVC and AP pins, got the free gift and it was time to go back on our fast pass. Rode again. Left for MK had lunch and watched Share A Dream. Then decided we had to go back and ride one more time. Can't wait to go again tomorrow!!! :sunny: :sunny:

Hooray! I'm going tomorrow for the annual passholder preview weekend. Having just recently moved to Florida from Chicago, I bought my first annual pass, and I could not be more excited!!

Nice Ride you had....I just got an email stating we get a sneak peak while we are there since we are staying at a resort...does anyone know what this means??

Do we get to ride too?? We are going 2/4-2/11...I printed off the email and am going to take it with us- I have no idea what it means.

Help...

Where did you hear that the limited edition pins sold out?? I bought mine at 1:30ish. Someone told me she heard they sold out early, but I still got one. :)

We rode it today too! It is a GREAT ride! :thumbsup2 DS is 6 and and absolutely loved it. He rode it 4 times and yelled "WHEE!" each and every time! The entire area is very attractive and I just can't say enough abut the ride itself. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but be prepared for all sorts of surprises and one heck of a ride! :yay:

So how many "G'S" does this ride have?? Compared to-let's say-Big THunder MT. That's about my tolerable limit, so I wonder if Everest will be just too much???????

I also was there early in the morning for the Preview. I LOVED it! Rode it 5 times yesterday. Two times very back row, once in the middle, and twice very front row. Absolutely LOVED the front row. GREAT ride. I much prefer not doing the back row as when it went backwards it did get my stomach a little. But this is a MUST do ride!!!

I'm leaving in 1.5 hours. I'm going down for business so I can't ride it today. I might be able to get over to AK Saturday after my work is done. Now, Sunday I can ride it for sure. My husband is joining me in Orlando and we're staying until Wednesday. The only sad thing is he doesn't get there until 7:35 p.m. so he won't get to preview it. But, that's the best he could do as he is out of town on business as well. I guess I'll ride it and describe it to him in detail. Then, we'll ride it again and again and again during our upcoming trips. Whenever they are.

I'm sooooo excited. Gotta run - take a shower - load the car and drive down. It's a 9 hour drive, I'm leaving at 9:00 a.m. Even though it's business, I'm staying at Disney resorts. First two nights at POR and when my DH joins we're staying at OKW Studio - we rented points from these boards from the nicest man!!!!! I've never stayed at either of these resorts so there are a lot of new experiences on the horizon in the next few days.

WAHOOOOO - I'll give a full report.
