Just got back yesterday from a 7 day/6 night stay @ Regal Plams. Was a little worried with some of the posts I had read, but overall it surpassed our expectations. We have 5 small children (under 7) so, I didn't really have time to check out everything. We stayed in a 4 bdrm 2 bath pool house. For us it was perfect, but keep in mind I've had a kid in diapers since 1997 -not the same kid :) & I've had very little sleep in the past few years (think newborn, 12 month old, 2 yr old, 5, 6), so I could sleep on a rock in the desert and be happy as long as I was sleeping!!! That being said, the house was spacious and very clean. Check in was a breeze, but they would not let us check in early. We called ahead of time & asked about $25 insurance or a hold on your credit card that I'd read about. They said they don't do that, everything's included in our nightly rate & true to their word we were not charged anything extra. They were very friendly, the girl checking us in was obviously new b/c she kept asking questions but that was fine, she was nice. We asked for a grill & highchair (extra $40 for grill & $15 for highchair/wk) & we no sooner pulled in the driveway & they were already being delivered. The kids loved the common pool, water's heated, zero depth entry for little ones, water slide & lazy river. There's still construction going on, but the pool houses are across the street so it was hard to tell if it affected the people close to it. In a week I never actually saw anyone doing any work! We booked this house through www.hotelkingdom.com & had no problems. We had a great time - I'll be more than happy to answer any questions!

I am so glad to see your post. We are going on the Disney cruise and ending with 3 nights (next week) at the Regal Palms. We are staying in the 4 bedroom pool home also. Wow! 5 kids huh? I've got three 5,7,and 9 girls and I can't imagine adding two more you really deserve a vacation :flower:

Anyhow, did your unit have a working phone? or did your cell phone work.
Was the water at the pool at the house warm enough to swim in ?

TIA
Suzanne

Yes, I needed a vacation & now I need a vacation from my vacation :)! The phone at the house did work, but you needed a credit card to set it up ( I guess in case you were making long distance calls, not sure, we didn't ask why). We actually ended up putting the phone in the nightstand drawer b/c the baby kept taking it off the hook. Our cell phones worked just fine & we used them the whole trip - we have Sprint. The pool at the house was a little chilly ( I thought), but it didn't slow the kids down one bit, plus it was rainy a couple days so that didn't help. We had a table & chairs out by the pool & a couple lounge chairs plus a gate (like a window screen almost) which was a nice safety feature. You can move it, but we kept it up the whole time. We also had plenty of bath and hand towels but no washcloths. Hope you enjoy your vacation!

Hi!
We also just got back from renting a 4 bedroom pool home from Regal Palms. Everything was fine, we rented for one week after our Land Sea vacation with Disney. Enjoyed it so much, I'm quite sure we'll rent for 2 weeks next year! Home was very spacious and after 4 in one room for 9 nights it was great to have our own space.
