Just back from POR

My fiance and I will be honeymooning at POR January 6-13, 2008. We are very young (19 and 21) so our budget was limited and didn't allow for a deluxe hotel. It's nice to hear such wonderful things about this resort, I'm looking forward to staying here very much. This will also be our first time to WDW period, so along with it being our honeymoon it will also be our first trip I'm so excited!!

I think POR can feel quite deluxe AND romantic to someone so young who may not have experienced the "deluxe" things in life!

It's great to hear that POR is such a nice hotel. I've heard many others say that it is the "deluxe" hotel of the moderates, so we are looking forward to it very much. POR will most definitely be the most "deluxe" place that we have ever stayed at, and with it being our FIRST trip to WDW PERIOD, I'm sure we won't know what we are missing. I'll just be on from getting married the day before I probably wouldn't care where we were staying!!! We haven't booked a carriage ride, but that sounds like something we should really do!! Thanks for the suggestion tcp0421. I'll have to call our travel agent and get her to take care of that for us!!! I planned something special for my fiance for our first night. He was DYING to be able to see the Osborne Spectacle of Lights (the last night it is open is on the 6th - our arrival day) but I told him it closed down right after New Year's. He's not that internet savvy, so I know he won't find out I'm fibbing But I plan to just tell him I really want to go to MGM and I just can't wait, but it will really be to see the lights, which he'll love! Then I have arranged for our "just married" pins and wedding ears to be delivered to the room before we get back with a note from "Cinderella and prince charming" telling us congrats on our wedding and honeymoon. We also have 9pm dinner reservations that night at Citrico's. So I'm hoping all goes well, which it should!!
