We just returned from a "VERY" dissapointing stay at POR. Too much to list, but in a nutshell, MOUSEKEEPING was horrible.

Anyways,

we booked our August 2007 trip for the POLY with FREE DINING. 10 nights with passes was $4,200. Trust me, I know the dining is FREE because we also inquired about POR.

Before the gal gave us the quote for POR, I wrote down what we paid in August 2006, room only and passes, it was $2,150. For August 2007, room and 10 days passes would have been $2,175. ( We stayed 11 nights in August 2006.)

By those numbers, I then knew that dining WAS FREE. So we went ahead and booked the POLY for the 10 nights. We added an 11th night room only with the AAA rate for $319.00.

As the majority of you know, this MUST be done while you are on property. If you are at all undecided, you must book and leave a $200 deposit. By doing this, you will then be free to change your reservation due to the "original" booking took place while you were on property during your stay.

I was always skeptical about the free dining issue. The way I was brought up was "YOU NEVER GET ANYTHING FOR FREE....YOU PAY FOR IT SOMEWHERE ELSE."

Any questions....feel free to ask.

Hi, is there a maximun of days you can stay with free dinning? Thanks,VERO.

Can you send me a PM about POR. We will be staying in April, and I am really considering switching because I just found out the Food Court will be shut down.

Vero, The maximum number of days is 10. I did ask the lady if we wanted to do a full two weeks, then 2 seperate reservations would need to be made.

OhMari, PM is on the way.

Would love a pm too if you have the time...
Booked POR in March... not hearing very good things...
Might change.

We just stayed at POFQ a few weeks ago, and had a wonderful time. We prefer FQ over POR. Our housekeeping was great. Lots of towel animals and very clean.

We satyed at POR a few years ago, and even tho they are sister resorts, FQ is a much better experience.

I also booked the free dining offer and we re-booked at FQ. Next August 25-31.

We stayed at POR in May 2006 and had a great time. Our mousekeeping experience was super and my dd got a towel animal every day except one. Even they they arranged all of her little animals and things for a cute display in the window. I think it just depends of who you get.

I have a question about the food court being shut down. We're planning on stay at POFQ in late May 2007 and was wondering if POR food court would be shut down then. If so, I might book another resort because I don't want to deal with the super huge crowds that would be there. Anyone have any information?

Thanks!!

OK I'm trying to get all this but don't understand. This seems like a great rate. What is this about having to book while on site? Do you get a better rate then? How and where do you book on site?

Is this a special you saw somewhere... how do I find out about this stuff when I'm there?

Would love to stay at Poly so am very interested in this!

Thanks!

I would love to know this also!!

We will be at ASMo in January--can we get it there?

Also if we like ASMo can we get this deal for that hotel or does it have to be higher up the food chain??

Are you limited on what dates you can book the trip for--Say we wanted to go in April of 07-can we get free dining then booking it thru the hotel?

The Future Stay Program is only available (at this point in time) to current guests of WDW resorts through 12/31/06. There are alot of threads about the program here in the codes forum. In a nut shell, you need to book this deal aka bounce back program, while you are staying at the resort through the day you check out.

The deal is for free dining when you book a MYW package. The dates are August 5, 2007-Sept. 29, 2007. This means you will be paying rack rate for your room.

I am sure others will respond with more info, but that's the basics.

Hope this helps.

you will LOVE the Poly AND the FREE food!!

Congrats on a well made resort choice...you will find it impossible to go anywhere else after your stay in paradise!!

I cannot wait to book free dining as a Disney Visa customer in 07!!

so...If our family was going this December and knew FOR sure we were going in September, we do every year , then when I am there I should go to the front desk and book for Sept, and I automatically get free dining? Pay the rack rate for the room, but what if I have AP's for my whole family already? Is it a package or nothing type of deal, or can you pay rack rate for the room, use your AP, and have free dining? Just trying to get this bounce back program straight// thx

From what I've read, if you have AP's you need to purchase a one day base ticket, because yes, this has to be a MYW package. The free dining is based on the number of nights at the resort, not the # of days of your ticket. But you can not get an AP discount on the room. Depending on where you stay and the availability of AP discounts, you may need to crunch the numbers for your family.
Enjoy :wizard:

That's correct...your best bet is to purchase the package with 1-day base tickets. Then you can either use them later, or as a credit towards your next AP.
