We stayed at POP 10/16-10/22 (me, DH, and 3yo DS). My longer trip report is here:

Overall, we were very pleased with POP and would stay there again. The overall feeling at the resort is happiness. The music and colors are great. All the icons are so cute. The pools are a lot of fun. My son loved the Goofy Splashpad and the kiddie pool. We also went in the Hippy Dippy pool. I'm embarrassed to say that we never even saw the other two pools. The place is just so big that we never really walked around much other than our area. We stayed in the 70's building and I would highly recommend that. We were very close to the food court and buses, yet we didn't have to hear people screaming at the pool until midnight like the pool buildings do. We were in the Big Wheel building on the 4th floor. The refrigerator we requested was in the room and worked great.

The buses were great. We normally waited five to seven minutes. Only one time we waited 20 minutes and that was for Downtown Disney.

The food court was quick and there were plenty of open tables. There's also a big tv screen that plays Disney movies and once an hour (or so) all the employees do "The Hustle" and my son got a kick out of that. The quality of the food was average, probably the equivolent of a mall food court, but it was quick.

My only complaint with POP was that noise kept us up at night. It was just regular hotel noise: slamming doors, people walking to their rooms being loud, flushing toilets, kids crying/shrieking/screaming. I think the problem is that the AC units are so quiet. In most hotels, the AC units are so loud that they drown out normal hotel noise, but at POP the AC is so quiet that you can hear everything else. If we stay at POP again, we'll bring a white noise machine.

Overall, we loved POP and we can't believe it's only $79 a night. My son had a great time. We had no problem getting him to leave the parks at the end of the day because he was so excited to go to the splashpad or pool. He loved it.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the thread or PM me. :)

We really enjoy Pop, too. Sorry about the problem with the noise. During our July trip, we were on the 3rd floor and didn't hear a sound from outside. Our only problem was that ours was a connecting room, and there was a baby in the neighboring room. Despite tip-toeing around, I know we woke that baby when we were getting reading for our 8 am breakfast at CP. If that was your family, sorry. I thought about not drying my hair, but couldn't stand the thought of damp, straggly hair every day. Surprisingly, it has been at AKL (my favorite WDW, btw) that I've noticed the hallway noise the most.

my family loved pop too. we went in may and it was a great place to stay and not too bad money wise either. I have only lurked on these boards through the months, what is a trip repport? was i supposed to do one?

We stayed in POP in November 2004 and absolutely loved it. It was visually appealing for children and adults! Can't wait to go back there next year.

We had the best time at POP !! :cheer2: We stayed in the 70's . We had a room that over looked the lake on the far corner. So We never heard any noise at night. Well thats a lie! One night I was blasted awake by loud bangs . I peeked out of my room to see what it was . It was fireworks from one of the parks. Which was way cool. Kind of funny also because everyone was in there PJs watching the fireworks on there balconies. Including a guy from greece stanging by me in his tighty whities. YIKES! That kind of through me off but still enjoyed the show. I also thought the resort was visually appealing. We never had a problem finding parking. Will be going back again  :earsgirl:

Welcome to the boards! There is another board called trip reports for people to post about their trips. It is not required to do a report, only if you want to. They are fun to read though.

Just returned from my third stay at Pop (10/12 - 10/18). I've been in the 50s, 80s and 90s sections. Gotta hit um all!

How did you like the 80s & 90s? We stayed in the 50s...and liked them because they were close and our children were young. But, as children of the 80s, we'd LOVE to stay there next year. However, not like my children will be older...they'll be 6 and 4.

Hi, paytonjsplace! Nice to hear from another midwesterner!

I stayed in the 80s my first trip to PC - just six weeks after the resort opened. It was great - location isn't very far from food court, buses, etc. I have to say, tho, that this last trip where I stayed in the 90s was superb. I always ask to stay top floor, courtyard or parking lot view (where it's quiet, away from the pools), and I was placed exactly where I wanted - top floor, bldg. 8, cell phone bldg., parking lot view. Absolutely perfect! And I walked thru the parking lot to get to the bus depot. No big woop at all. That was the fastest! Since I don't have kids, I don't think it really matters where you stay, but there is a playground close to the 80s & 90s bldgs. This was my third (yes, third) trip down to my 'happy place' this year. Hadn't really planned on it, but it's amazing what you have to do for your mental health!

The playground is brightly colored (no theme, really), pretty much next to the food court on the 80s/90s side. Didn't spend any time there, so that's all I really know!

Live in Elgin, IL - northwest suburb of Chicago. I've been thru Iowa, just can't remember exactly where!

stayed 10/15- 10/18. . .50's section 1st floor, building 2, room 5215. Our room was on the back side of the building. And I never saw anyone come or go into any room near ours at all during our stay. It was VERY quiet. My only complaints were how loud our own toilets were flushing. I (and my DD) always get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and I couldn't believe on how loud the flushing was. The fact that our room faced absolutely nothing definitely helped. I liked the location for its quiteness. We had only 3 1/2 days to enjoy WDW this visit, so we spent all our time at the parks from early morning hours to late park closings so we strictly used POP for just a very reasonable priced bed. I would definitely recommend 50s section building 2, not facing the poolside for anyone who wants a quiet night's sleep. . .
