We are just back from our 6 night stay at Pop Century, WOW what a fantastic resort.(sorry this will be a long review). We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the POP and would love to go back next year! Our family consisted of myself, my husband, our 3 1/2 year old, and our 8 month old, the room was plenty big for our needs. Our 3 1/2 year old LOVED all of the icons (made us climb the bowling pin stairs every night after a long day at the parks : ) We enjoyed the grounds tremendously as well, so clean, well taken care of, and it was so much fun walking around and looking at all of the icons to go with each era.
We were given a room in the 50's area at early check in- great room on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool. Noise was not a problem. Called Housekeeping for towels and bedrails and they were always there within minutes. They honored our request for early room make-up daily so kids could nap and not be disturbed. They even left towel animals and arranged toys in the window (seemed to have a lot of that at this resort in the windows), always left the room immaculate.
The pool's were great, especially the main pool in 60's. Our son LOVED the kiddie pool (by 60's area), and splash fountain area in the 70's area.
We ate every morning at Everything POP and for a few lunch and dinner meals. The food was great, wonderful variety. A bit pricey, but we expected that. The grocery items were very expensive (2.35 for small minute maid juice), so buy elsewhere if possible. We bought the mugs and took advantage of that- our 3 year old loved the slush's, I loved the hot chocolate, and my husband loved his coffee every morning. I was dissappointed you couldn't get juice or milk with these though.
Transportation was great, never waited longer than 5 minutes: except for one rain storm where we waited 20 minutes in the rain for Epcot bus. Hint: for early magic hour at Magic Kingdom the lines were crazy- INSTEAD take the Epcot bus and hop the monorail, this saved us time and got us to the park on time, very peaceful and got to sit down too : ) Bus stop was the farthest away at Magic Kingdom and that walk was long after a long hot day, but that's o.k. everything else made up for it.
One suggestion: request a room in 50's or 70's if not doing preferred room. 80's and 90's areas are cool but would be a hike (especially the 90's) to get to Everything Pop and transportation.
Overall, we LOVED POP CENTURY!!! What a great hotel, we are hoping to be back next year! I wouldn't mind answering any questions you have.

We will be there july 16-24 and are really forward to our first "Value Resort" stay. Did you request the 50's building 3rd floor or is just where they put you? We have requested the 70's area but are having seconds thoughts because of the lack of a pool in the 70's. Which area (50's or 70's) would you say would be the closest to Classic Hall and the bus stop or which area would you suggest would be better?

I actually just booked POP this morning for Sept - we really can't wait!
