We (wife and I, 2 daughters ages 3&4 and 7mo old son) had a great time. Pop is far from a luxurious hotel, but had more than enough of what we were looking for on a vacation I didn't even budget for in the first place.
We tried to follow the touring plans that mentioned taking an afternoon break for naps and such and it didn't work at all. Sure enough, the kids would be tired after lunch time, we'd return, and they'd literally be jumping off the walls much like Thing 1 and Thing 2. After 2 attempts of this, I decided forget it. The rest of the time we'd either catch a train at MK to ride around for a while or let our 3 year old nap in the stroller while we pushed her around. There was no sense in losing 4+ hours/day to try to get in a nap.
It was so funny to see them as we were leaving the parks after 12-14 hours/day completely exhausted to the point that they would fall asleep while they were walking back to the bus. We'd even ask if they'd want to go to another park to ride some rides to mess around with them when they wanted nothing more than to just crawl into bed and go to sleep.
I'd say our next Disney trip won't be for another 4 years or so to let our son turn 5 or so. If we go back to Pop, we'd need a suite for all of us, but honestly, I can't justify spending that much more money on a hotel you're rarely there to enjoy.
