Just back from Pop Century

Just back from a 7 night stay at Pop Century. We had 3 rooms in the 70's building - ground floor - lake side. Excellent location - very little traffic past our room. The rooms were very close to the food court and transportation. I was worried after reading some of the post about the noise - have to say can't complain. Oh sure we heard the occasional toilet flush but that was about it. We were only in the rooms long enough to sleep - and after being in the parks all day - I don't think a herd of elephants coming through our room would have woken us up!
We did use the pool one day - it was very nice - the kids loved swimming in November! The food court was good. We only ate breakfast and the occasional snack - we did buy the mugs which were great for the older folks when they wanted their coffee.
I have to say I was totally thrilled with the transportation - I think the longest we waited for a bus was 10 minutes. Either we have incredible timing or we were just lucky - but it seemed like everytime we went to a bus stop there was a bus waiting there ot there within minutes.
The only negative I have to say was that upon arrival I did tell the CM it was my daughters birthday...2 days later - nothing - so I politely reminded them and the next day there was a card from her favorite character (Stitch) and ballons. You should have seen her face! You gotta love the Disney magic!
All in all a great trip!

Awesome! Glad you had a great time. We have stayed at POP twice before, and absolutely love it! We can't wait to go back this January! Thanks for the awesome review!

Can't wait! We'll be there starting 11/25... I've never stayed there before! We'll have friends meeting us on 11/27 and they are really excited about the Lady and the Tramp Icons. I can't wait to see the HUGE Roger Rabbit myself. :)

Why would you not getting anything for a b-day be considered a negative.. While they may usually do something, its not required, unless ya pay them for something. I wouldnt have put that as a negative.

Well I have to admit, I don't expect them to do anything for our anniversary. In fact, to make sure we get a little TLC, I'm bringing some candles and a "Happy Anniversary" Banner to hang up in our room. :)

The only reason I put it as a negative is that my travel agent was the one who told me that they would have a card in our room for her. I didn't expect something for free - I thought it was something my agent had set up. She put it on our reservations and I told them when we arrived - I guess with all the magic Disney offers I was surprised it was overlooked. Believe me the look on her face was worth it!

Thanks for sharing your review of POP. I'm looking forward to staying there in the future. It really appealed to my teenagers but we decided to book CSR for our next trip. Still looking forward to POP for someday.

after reading your reviews, I am pretty happy that we chose the POp as our resort for our upcoming trip.

Can't wait !!!

You can heat the turbo toilets at all the "newer" resorts. We heard them all the time at AKL>

We were at POP November 7th through 12th. We were in the 60's section, room 4512. We had a great stay but mousekeeping didn't do such a great job of cleaning prior to our check in, since I found a pair of Washington Redskin slippers under the side of one of the beds. If you were in the room prior to the 7th and left your slippers, I'm sorry to say that they have been trashed, as they were old and worn.
