Hi Everyone!!
We just returned back from Pop Century yesterday. We were there 8 days and 7 nights. We had a fabulous time!! I didn't get to meet Tyler
though. I did have a couple of room requests and the CM at check in did her best to get what I asked for and she did a great job!!
We checked in a little early (about 2:00pm). I had requested a ground floor room in the first building in the 50's section. There wasn't anything ready over there. She showed me (on a map) where there were a couple of other rooms available right then. So, I modified my requests to a ground floor in any of the 50's sections that overlooked the pool. Lucky enough for us there was one already available and we took it: 2170. Three doors down from the middle of the building and just a few steps from the bowling pin pool. By the way...there was no wait at the check in line. The walk wasn't bad at all as this was the farthest of the 50's sections; just a couple of minutes at most.
We ate dinner at Everything Pop almost every day. There wasn't nothing that we tried that we didn't like. The "mom's night out specials" were really great!! As far as prices goes, for Disney, it was really reasonable. There are 5 of us and we ate for about $30 to $35 per night. We did buy 2 mugs and filled them constantly. The walk to the main building did get a little old after awhile. It would be much worse in the rain or the cold. That's when I missed the WL the most...the walk to the main building.
Our room was quite nice. Nothing special. Mousekeeping was so so. We did get two washcloth friends on our last day there. Wasn't that impressed. It was quite small for the 5 of us (we have one daughter who is 2) and the beds were quite small (doubles).
Overall we were very happy here. I would probably stay here again if I could get a rate. Next time we would have to have two rooms though. I don't think I would pay the extra for a prefered room as I don't see them being any better than any other room on property. We did walk along the pathway by the lake one night to take pictures and to see the rest of the resort. It is really neat to say the least.
I would be happy to answer any questions.
And Tyler....thanks again for all of your insight you have given us on this board. You were the reason we stayed here and I don't regret it one bit. You just have to see it to belive it. It doesn't seem all that "loud' or weird once you get there. It really is a great resort!!!
Until next time....
Cya There!!!
