So, we just got back from 9 days at Pop, and I'll be going through withdrawal for a while. This was our second stay at Pop, so I thought I'd do a short review of our experiences there.

The room: The room was small, but we live in a tiny apartment in DC, so the size wasn't really an issue for us. The bed wasn't terribly comfortable, but you can't really expect to be sleeping on a featherbed with 600 threadcount sheets while staying at a value resort. There could definitely have been more hangers and space to put clothes and the water pressure in the sink is laughably bad. The shower pressure was great and there was plenty of light in the room. We had a connecting room, so the noise was pretty loud coming from them, but we don't have kids and tend to stay up very late, so I never really minded. I suspect that in non-connecting rooms the noise would not be nearly as bad.

The grounds: The grounds are actually pretty nice. The pools are numerous and warm, although filled with children. If you've got kids, it seems like it would be pretty nice for them to be able to play with new friends in the pool.

The food court: The food court was extremely crowded in the morning, and I didn't think the quality of the food was as good as it used to be. During this trip, we didn't eat any dinners in the food court, but we did last time and they were all very very good.

Check-in and Check-out: Magical Express works about as well as it can considering the number of people who use it at any given time. For some reason, the line for Pop moved very quickly. we waited about 15 minutes for our bus, while the people in the All-Stars line had been waiting nearly an hour. check-in was quick and painless, as was check-out. Airline check-in at Pop was a nightmare, however. The line moved amazingly slowly. each time someone got up to the counter, they would end up fighting with the check-in employees and left very upset. We were sort of amazed, and thought that this was a case of guest entitlement and being rude to customer service reps, but when we got up there, it was totally infuriating. There were people hanging out with the check-in employees and the whole group of them were mostly flirting and chatting instead of helping customers. We waited at the desk a good long while during our CM's conversation about what they were doing that night.

Smoking Areas: We say the vast majority of people abiding by the new smoking policy. We're smokers ourselves, so we appreciated having seating areas and special ashtrays. The major problem with this policy is that at all of the hotels we visited (Boardwalk, Grand Floridian, WL, AKL, BC) there is a major smoking area right next to a main entrance. It makes the area pretty disgusting, and I'm sure that non-smokers don't appreciate it.

Transportation: The busses were actually pretty great. since there are so many poeple staying at Pop, they come very frequently. At the end of the day at MK, we had 4 busses loading at once. The transportaion was certainly better than that of AKL and Port Orleans.

All in all, it was a great trip. We've booked next year at Boardwalk, but definitely hope to stay at Pop again, especially if they ever finish the Legendary Years.

What toiletries are currently left by mousekeeping? We go in 53 days (and counting:cool1: ) and I just want to know what I DON'T need to take:lmao:

There were two bars of soap: one for the sink and one for the shower. There was also a small bottle of shampoo/conditioner. We didn't use the shampoo they provided since when we did on our last trip, our hair got crispy. This was a different shampoo, so it might be better.

Welcome back and great review! I love Pop and will definitely stay there again one day.
