Just back from Polynesian....

We loved it !!!!!!! We stayed in Fiji and had a great view for GV. We were right over the marina and could stand on our balcony and see the Contemporary, Space Moutain and the castle end along with the beach and lagoon. We were also right across from the GCH and OHana so every moring we could see the characters.

The room is much larger than the others we've stayed in. I love the hidden Mickeys on the shower curtain!

Despite many negative reviews we did enjoy Captain Cooks. We got a mug and got our money's worth.

We loved the easy access to the monorail, but were a little upset with the bus service. AT POFQ, CBR, and the All Stars the buses have always been great. We must have waited over 30 minutes for a bus to MGM on Monday. Of course pouring rain didn't help much either. The DTD bus took about 25-30 min. as well. I will add that on Tuesday the buses seemed to be coming almost every 15 min.

Is Fiji one of the buildings that has been refurbished? If so did you happen to get any pictures of the new decor? I would love to see the new rooms.

My family just returned from the Poly, and we waited in vain late one morning for a bus to the Animal Kingdom.

We waited about 45 minutes, and finally walked to our car and drove. At 55 minutes, when we pulled out of the parking lot, there was still no AK bus.

I've read somewhere (and would love a second opinion) that the best thing for Poly guests to do is to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and then take a bus from there to AK and MGM. It certainly couldn't be any slower than what we faced.
