Not sure if this is where I should post this but feel free to move it if need be, and any questions I would be glad to answer!
We got the 40% discount so we decided to do club level on Poly, we like the Poly. It is in fact dark, it was busy, pools are smaller and more crowded, no hot tub is a drawback for us because we like to use it at end of day for tired muscles and to relax. Concierge is lovely, staff is amazing, very very helpful and hospitable!!! Cannot say enough! If you are going concierge you will need the dining plan as well. Not much selection, not near as much as the Grand, you may not need the dining plan there, there is always tons of food and TONS of selection at 5-7 or 8 can't remember already!!!
We switched to Grand Floridian because we were a bit dissapopointed in the value, it is a lot money for this resort a'll around, IN my OWN unimportant opinion, we asked what the cost was to go over to the GF and it was only 15/day so we did it, all I can say is WOW!
I am a lifer! Everything there is spetacular!
I don't know what we will do now.... Nothing tops it ( for our family and in our own opinion and taste.)
if you have the discount or can do it go for it!
It might be the only time we could but we will see...
Everything there in concierge was fabulous!

I always want to try the Poly. Just wondering what about it that made you switch to GF? Was it the decor or was it the food offerings at the concierge?

We were at the GF sugar loaf and agree that we could get away with a very light dinner after snacking on those yummy appetizers during the 5-7 offering. In fact one night I enjoyed too much of the sushi rolls and mini crab cakes that I had to cancel our ADR at Kona.

We tried GF a couple of times, once in conjunction with the big red boat (the sea/shore program prior to disney cruiseline)

just did not like it that much, in fact I can not see going back there

in fact I like the DVC far better

my favorite is the poly and then the contemp

never understood the GF thing
