We were just there from Aug. 12-19th, and I think it was the HOTTEST week of the year! We had a great time and took it easy. We did do EMH at MGM on Aug 15th and there was still a 75 min wait for Tower of Terror, so we didn't find that beneficial. We loved POFQ as we always do. IF you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I was there the same week and boy, was it hot, even for us NJ-PA people who have been suffering through the heat here. I bet you are feeling cold today with the rain!
Glad you had a good time!:cool1:

You're not kidding! Wow.. amazing what a 2hr flight will change. We took off in 94 degrees and landed at 9:00pm last night in 59 degrees. I have to tell you I'm freezing. This was my first trip in Aug. and I will never do that again. Too crowded and way too hot! We had fun.. but we took it really slow. Where did you stay?

I too agree that we will probably never go again in August. :sad2: We are from CT and said we would rather be sweating in Disney than sweating in CT. But, after a bit in Disney, we thought otherwise! We were in Disney from Aug 6-14th, POR 5 nights and Boardwalk Inn 3 nights. By day 5, DH and I were saying to ourselves "Okay we are done...It is toooooo hot! :scared1: "

We enjoyed ourselves, but found it tough to get our money's worth out of our park passes due to the extremely high temperatures and humidity. (We spent $1160 on 5 5-day hoppers this time, since our youngest is over 3 now. We found this to be frustrating, as the height requirements prohibited him from going on alot of the rides and it seemed wasteful that we had to spend the same $ on his ticket as we did for our DS9, who rode just about everything he wanted. Meanwhile, the youngest spent most of his time riding in the stroller~~ Oh well...)

The morning EMH were not used much by us this time, because the heat generally caused the kiddos to be so much extra tired during this trip that we chose not to rush them out every morning to get to the parks. We did benefit from the late hours in the parks, even though it made for a lazy morning the next day. At least the sun was not beating down on us like during the day and the crowds sometimes thinned out later on. With planning some days at the resorts, we were able to fully enjoy the awesome pools at POR, POFQ and then the best was at BWI!

Overall, we had a good time, but we also were looking forward to the cool breezes we have here on the coast in CT upon arriving home. :thumbsup2

DH is already buzzing about when our next trip will be and we are so looking forward to planning it, of course. It will be more fun now, though, as we took a big step on one of our "no park" days this past trip and spent time touring at Saratoga Springs. The Disney bug got us, as we ended up purchasing and joining the DVC right then and there! :woohoo: Sooooo, planning our next stay will be fun, knowing that we don't have to watch for the deals and bargains any longer...All we have to do is choose which DVC resort we want to visit!
