We arrived on Tuesday evening, having added an extra day to the reservation. The front desk could not have been more accomodating. Scruffy was given a "goodie bag" with a placemat, food and water dish and pet food lid and also some doggie treats. We were in room 3237, harbor view west wing, dead on view of the boat dock and water. Great view. Room was clean, the pet door hanger was already on the bed for us. No sign of our Loews amenity, also no mention. Noticed as soon as we did "lights out" that the walls are a little thin, and so is the door. Either that or people just have no consideration for people trying to sleep as they stumble down the hallway to their room, giggling and yelling foolishly (yep, this was the adults
). Resort was pretty deserted till Thursday night, think that's when the HHN'ers started arriving. Noticed tons of wedding/bridal parties. WE actually had a bride getting ready next door to us on Saturday.
On Saturday morning I opened the door to find our Doggy door hanger gone (?) and a statment of charges, even though we were staying till Sunday (??). Also, housekeeping tapping on the door at 8AM, saying "when will you be departing?" I call down to find out that they had added our extra day as a separate reservation, at the end (?) so I had to go down, check out and in with my CC and get new keys. This time the girl asks about what limit I want on the room charges (?) since our bank will put a hold for that amount for 5-7 days. I'm saying no one ever asked me that when we checked in on Tuesday. Oh well. I ask about the Loews account, she says, oh I'll add it, what amenity would you like? I chose the fruit, which never did arrive during our stay. I guess I need to see if the points even went on our account, since it was 5 days. On Sunday morning, another statement, this one with another pet fee ($25) and a double charge for our Confisco's lunch(?). I called down and had that straightened out. We were able to get late check out just by asking, till 1PM.
The pool was great, but they cancelled the dive in movie Saturday night because of the storm. The kids really enjoyed it Sunday morning though.
All in all, it was a good experience, especially having the demon Shih-Tzu with us. We may try the HRH next time, that hike from PBH to the parks is a bit tiresome
