We are just back from 6 nights at PBH club deluxe Villa Wing. I am happy to answer any questions anyone might have about our experience at the hotel. :goodvibes

Do you have any pictures?
Was the bottled water warm?
Are you a coffee drinker? How many K-cups are in the room?

Single digit dance for me :cool1: (Stay away Ana and Bill )

No pictures, sorry.

Yes, the bottled water was room temperature. It's the 8 ounce Zepherhills bottles. Just ask for some everytime you go to the Club Lounge. I can't tell you how many of them we consumed in our 6 night stay at PBH!! We chilled them in the minibar fridge and iced them in the small cooler we took to the parks each day in the stroller basket. It really helped keep us hydrated during the 90-95 degree blast furnace heat last week! There are recycling cans all over the parks and in the hotel room so we did our part to dispose of them properly.

As an added bonus, the 8 ounce bottles are exactly the right amount to go in the Keurig coffee maker! Just dump one bottle in and your done!

I used the Keurig every morning to make my usual 2 cups of coffee. There were eight K-cups and housekeeping replenished each day. K-cups were as follows:

4 Emeril's Big Easy Bold
2 Emeril's Jazzed Up Decaf
1 Celestial Seasonings Green Tea
1 Celestial Seasonings English Breakfast Black Tea (came in handy the last 2 days when my DH came down with a cold!)

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!! :thumbsup2

Looking to book a hotel in the Universal area in November. Was it worth staying at a Universal hotel vs. surrounding hotels for 3 nights. I know we will spend all day in the parks, and only be at hotel for the evening. The grounds and pools look awesome, but not sure how much we will get to use them at night. What time do they close pools? Thanks!

How was the club level food? Can you take food and drinks back to your room, or do you have to eat it in the lounge?

at any of the club lounges, the guest can take food and beverage back to their rooms.

ask for a tray if you need one to carry the food/drink.

you are not required to eat/drink in the lounge.

Could you bring back real milk from the club room for the coffee, or was your only option the powdered stuff? Did they have both regular sugar and splenda in the room? Thanks!

I'd also love to know about the food offerings at the club lounge. We're going in a week and I'm trying to plan meals for the kids. Any info you can give would be wonderful!

Thanks!

The main hot food offerings on Saturday 8/8 were fried ravioli, cut up pizza strips, and something else I really can't remember as it was a little odd. Maybe Perdita&Pongo remembers. The food is usually really good and was enough for us make dinner out of.

I would say its definitely worth it to stay at a Universal Hotel! You get the Express Pass (FOTL) which is an awesome benefit of staying onsite.

At PBH, the Beach Pool closed at 10pm, at which time most swimmers would head a very short distance to the Villa Pool which is open until 11pm. There is also the Hillside Pool, but we never went to that one.

In the room they did not have powdered creamer; they had Land O Lakes Mini Moo's Half & Half in individual cups (no refrigeration necessary). But, yes, you can bring whole or skim milk from the Lounge to your room.

IIRC, they had reg sugar, Splenda, Equal and Sweet & Low in the room.

We actually only made it to the Club Lounge for dinner on our last night! It was Thurs 8/13 and they had toasted ravioli w/marinara, foccacia pizza bread, spanokopita (triangles of spinach & cheese in phyllo dough), crudite (asst. veggies w/ranch dip), asst. cheeses (there were at least 6 dif. kinds), asst. Pepperidge Farm crackers, individual shredded salami cups w/greens, martini glasses with artichioke salad, Pinot Grigio wine, Cabernet Sauvignon wine, a bunch of dif. kinds of beer, etc. No PBJ at PBH, lol!

We did however, almost always go for desert. On a rotation basis during the evening there were chocolate cannolis (I'm in withdrawal!), tiramisu, apple pecan crisp, apple rasberry crisp, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisan cookies, white chocolate macademia nut cookies, brownies, etc. One night when I went right before the desert offerings were scheduled to end I was told to take as much as I want because they throw out all the leftover desserts each evening anyway!!

I have the sheet I got at check-in that says what they offer and at what times of the day. I will try to remember to scan it and post it here tomorrow.

Looks like I will be visiting the gym, this sounds so good. TIA for scanning the offerings sheet.

Thanks for the info Perdita! We booked our November stay at RP. We are hoping that the pool does not close earlier during that time of the year. Would love to be able to enjoy the hotel and pool at night!:)

Are there changing rooms or areas near each of the pools? Also, do they have towels available at the pools or do you have to bring them from your room?
