Just back from our first Star Wars Weekend

Jedi Mickey was available on Monday after the weekend, but other things were not like the speciality t shirts. I never saw a Darth Mickey, but then again I'm not into standing in long lines for much of anything. I did want the t shirt with the darth mask with mickey ears that also included jedi mickey and someone else in one lower corner. But by sunday all I could find was the one without the jedi mickey in the corner. We also found lines for jedi Mickey not to be long but the ones with Darth were. I thought the parade was okay except for the fact that people didn't seem to understand that there are crosswalks available. They just pushed through the crowd. I fear a couple of small children sitting and waiting were run over by those double wide strollers. Maybe the cross walks need to be better marked like they are at MK. I was most impressed with the bounty hunter in the red tight fitting suit. Oh to be young again.

The bounty hunter in the tight red was Aurra Sing (possible spelling mistake) you can see her watching the pod race in Episode I, plus in numerous comic book stories. She was cool wasn't she? In the comic books she is a Jedi that turns bad.

lon Friday lines for tower of terror and Aerosmith were longer than other days we had been to the park earlier in the week. Still not bad. Aerosmith was 45 minutes, but we fast passed it. TOT was 25 minutes. We had walked on TOT earlier in week around the same time( noon) Lines not bad for playhouse disney area. Word of Warning- if you want to see the Star Wars Parade. Leave your hotel early. We were at Wilderness Lodge and left at 9:00 for 11:15 a.m.Star Wars Parade. The bus stop was packed. Did not appear that they had added any buses. Waited over twenty minutes for a bus. Bus filled to standing room only. We then went to Grand Floridian and there was not room for everyone at GF to get on the bus. I would have been very mad if I was staying at GF, waited that long and could not get on the bus. We got to MGM at 10:15, but security line was very long so I sent husband and kids in thinking I may not get in before the parade and did not want them to miss it. Security ended up being very fast. In park in less than ten minutes. If you get there early there are a few benches on the left close to Star Wars ride that are in the shade and are a great place to watch the parade. Across from SOunds Dangerously
