We were at DL last Sat, Sun and Mon the 5th-8th and then we had some R&R in San Diego before heading home.

It was our first on property stay and we chose the GCH. It was fabulous!!!!!!!!:cool1: I don't know if I can ever go back to the motels across the street now. I am forever spoiled.

We got room 4428 with bunkbeds and a view of Grizzly River Run and parts of the street in front of Soarin. There were lots of trees in the way so you had to kind of look between the trees but it was a wonderful upgrade. The monorail also went right by our balcony. We couldn't have been happier!

We loved the pool, those chaise lounges are sooooooooooooo comfortable. I could pick a shady one and just hang out there for hours. We loved Whitewater Snacks being so easily accessible for meals or snacks.

We were able to use that secret exit staircase that comes out right by the La Brea bakery for our Disneyland entrances. Going back we tried to go through the GCH in DCA since our elevator was right there by that.

As for the parks, we might be changing our Halloween trip to another month of the year. It was so busy. I dont feel like we saw much. We spent a lot of time in Carsland and we did get to ride RSR 4 times (2 times at night). 1 morning we went right to the line during the early entry, 2 times were with fast passes and the last time was our last night with single rider. We couldn't get enough of that ride!

We didn't see any fireworks or Fantasmic and just part of the parade. We did catch World of Color our last night as we were exiting they were starting so we stayed and stood in the back and had an awesome view.

I hit the secret target on Zurg 3 times and totally obliterated my dh, who always wins. He didn't know about that target and was really amazed by my score.

All in all, it was a very good, memorable trip.

Glad you had a fun time! I agree that this year seems a lot busier than last year. It seems as though there is hardly an off season anymore.

I like the Grand too, it is hard to stay elsewhere once you stay onsite!

Thanks for sharing! :)

Sounds like an amazing trip! I hope to stay at the GCH one day when my girls are older and we don't need a suite anymore.

Lucky you that you got to ride RSR so many times , and it didn't break down during any of those times. Just out of curiousity, what kind of room was it that you got? Did you have to pay extra for the view of the Monorail?

Yes..GCH spoils you! What is the Zurg secret target. I always suck at Buzz so maybe that will help my score :)
