We didnt book this trip till June 06', we usually only go to Disney every 2 years, but decided we really needed to see Mickey and the gang. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

We booked our Disney trip for Jan 2- Jan 7 at OKW, 2 BR villa.

So here goes: Day 1,-- Dec 26th. we left South Jersey at 3:30am and drove to Savannah,Ga. Staying at a Fairfield Inn exit 94 off of rt.95 Nice hotel, clean,
and decent breakfast.

Day 2-- We left Savannah for a 5 hour drive to my Fathers home in West Palm Beach we stayed with him for 2 days. Took the kids to the dog track ( which was a blast) and to the beach for some shell searching.

Day 4-- Dec 29th. We left Dads and headed to Mickey land, 3 hours later we were pulling in to the Residence Inn in Lake Buena Vista, DW had made reservations (3 months before) at that time they only had a 1 BR suite available. At the front desk we asked if any 2 BR suites were available ? To
our surprise YES !!!(they only charged for a 1 bedroom)
We stayed here 4 days Dec 29- Jan 1. before moving to the "World". We went to DTD, Universal for 1 day ( crowded ) and went Resort hopping looking at all the Ginger
bread houses at GF, POLY, WL, and AKL. all were unforgetable.

Day 8-- Jan 2nd. We moved over to OKW early, I knew our room wasnt available yet but the CM at the front desk said that she had " a great 2 BR Villa in South Point for us on the 2nd floor" (PIXIE DUST STARTING) :wizard: . DW went to get our Tickets etc. at the concierge desk, CM Susan was most helpful, she was able to get me ADR's for Cape May Buffet on Tues. Night 5:30 and to Artist Point for DW birthday on Thurs. at 6:00 !! ( Now the DUST is FLYING ALL AROUND) :sunny: . We went to EPCOT 1st and waited for my Inlaws to call, ( they stayed with us at OKW too ). the Inlaws arrived at 1:00 pm and on a whim DW called the reservation center to see if out room was ready?
( I told her not till at least 4) but here it comes more DUST :jumping2: the room was ready!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never has this happen to us.
Room 5422 was just perfect, close to the bus stop, and nice view of the golf course.

Day 9-- Jan 3rd. went to MK (crowded) but still fun, fast passed everything we wanted to see or do. Off to the CMB everything was very good, fresh, and as DD 9 said :hyper: Yummy!!!!!!

Day 10-- Jan 4th. MGM same as MK fast passed everything, Everyone thought the stunt show was awsome. Just had counter service for food ie :
Burgers and Fries that evening over to MK for Wishes, that show always brings tears to our eyes
.
Day 11-- Jan 5th AK 1/2 day ( very crowded) but saw what we wanted too. Then off to EPCOT , Soarin is a wonderful ride, rode it 2 times !! Mission Space is my Favorite. DW and I went off on our own ( finally) for our dinner date at Artist Point in WL. All I can say is WONDERFUL from the food to the service everything was perfect. DW had the Salmon and I the Buffalo. After dinner we went to see Illumanations at Epcot. ( great show as always).

Day12-- Jan 6 th. More Epcot - World Showcase in the morning then over to DTD for shopping. That evening we packed and relaxed.

Day13-- Jan7th. The trip home. :( left OKW at 4:30 am pulled in the drive way at 8:00pm 15 1/2 hours a new record!! Rt. 95 was a pleasure to drive that day.

All in All everything was pure perfect with this trip.

A few tips....... The Earl of Sandwich is GREAT !!! ate there 2x the kids loved it. Roast beef is to die for. the Salads -Chinese chicken salad --wonderful.

The Meatloaf at Big River Grill on the Boardwalk was FANTASTIC :goodvibes

Fast pass everything you can its well worth it.

All the CMs we encountered were just great, friendly and willing to help.

Bus service was always on time.

The only thing that we all thought was a bit disappointing was some of the South Americans, many were very rude, line jumped, and didnt listen or understand instructions ie: no flash photos, no eating or drinking etc. while in line or on rides/shows. But the Line jumping was the worst.

All in All we had lots of FUN :jumping1:

This trip came too slow and went by too fast!

We will be back though JAN of 07' :grouphug:

Any questions? please ask, we did so much more but I didnt write it all up.

To Siestakey04, DTD has many shops full of Disney stuff, also Virgin Records on the West side, it takes us a good part of a day to look in them all.

DonaldisDisney: Last week it was in the mid 70s during the day, mid 50s at night. we took just some light fleese jackets with us, but then again it is Fla in Jan. We left on Sat AM and it was 38!!

I have read that OKW buses are slow and you need a rental car. Do you know how long it took to get from OKW to each park? Also, does the bus stop at hospitality first, last? I have requested being near that and wondering how long we would have to drive around OKW before we head out to parks or get home. Thanks- we have 2 studios, wish we could have afforded to 2BR!

we waited no more than 10 min for a bus all week, AK was the longest ride maybe 10 min. MK 5-8 min. Usually the bus stopped at hospitality house last. There are 5 stops at OKW
