We just spent nearly 2 weeks at OKW ( a few days off site at the beginning).

It was wonderful, as always.

The staff continues to be friendly and accomodating. My girls had a blast...........

We had bldg. 62, bottom floor (much to my dismay). The only bad thing about the trip was our neighbors above us. Just as they checked out, a group with older teen girls moved in and it was worse. Especially last night when we had to be up at 3 AM to get ready for a 6 AM flight out!! They were laughing and listening to the t.v. until 1 AM and it was loud. Reminded me of my dorm days........I will request a top floor from now on..........LOL!

As I reported during my stay, I think I broke my toe. It is still bothersome but getting better. I continued to hobble around and enjoy all the sights, sounds and smells of OKW and WDW.

We all enjoy the Member Day. I won a member pin, DVC visor, DVC luggage tag and jiminy cricket mug. As someone posted a while ago that they did not care for the DJ. WE loved it. The pool was so lively and fun. My girls had a blast doing all the activities.

The parks were somewhat crowded and hot. Typical at this time of year.

I met dvcreg, donmil, StephenKay and another Diser from MA (sorry forgot your screen name) at the cancelled member BBQ. It was great to meet others but sorry we didn't hang around longer to chat. WE were starving and since then cancelled the BBQ due to pending storms, we went to eat at the Yachtsmans Steakhouse.

WE ate out alot and my girls love Olivias.......we hung at the pool and met alot of nice people. Many people I met were there on a cash basis and inquired about being a member. I actually think I met more on cash hanging at the pool then members.

All in all it was another great family vacation. WE are sad to be home but are looking forward to making our reservations for next summer!!!

Any questions, feel free to ask......

Thanks for update. Too bad about the noise over head. But I think that is rare.

Sounds like another great trip home. Your live postings made me homesick! Looking forward to our trip for Thanksgiving in a GV!!
I am glad we were not the only one's that enjoyed a day of entertainment at the pool. My kids also loved it and so did a bunch of us older folks as I saw alot of us singing in the pool and swaying - Bye Bye American Pie.........I always wanted to stay in Building 62....besides the noise, how was it for view and all?

We were at HH earlier this Summer and a family with 4 young teenage girls checked in above us. I saw them coming and I thought "Uh oh..." They sounded like stampeding buffalo every night at midnite. Luckily it would stop just as I was ready to do what my Grandma used to do (she lived in the apartment downstairs when I was a kid): hit the ceiling with a broom to signal "quit it or else!" It sounded like the girls were running back and forth between the 2 bedrooms. What's with people in the middle of the night?
