We were down there last week. We spent the first 2 nights in a studio at WL then switched to a 1 br at OKW the rest of the week. Unfortunately it was chilly, highs were in the 50's on the days we were at WL. We didn't get to explore and swim the way we would have liked. WL is a beautiful resort but it must book up fast!!! We were just carrying our bags into the room and a family walked by and stopped to talk for a minute. They were OKW owners too, and had come over to try to see what the rooms looked like, but the front desk told them the resort was booked solid, so there were no rooms they could see. We told them they were welcome to see our studio, so at least they got to see that. We enjoyed dinner at Roaring Forks, everything was delicious.
The only downside, (and this is very personal preference) is that all the stone and timber at the resort made a cold day feel colder. However, I bet I would love all the cool stone in mid-July!!
We checked in at OKW. It was not as busy. We did get to go swimming and see the new pool slide. It goes faster than I expected! IT was fun and the kids were really enjoying it.
Everything looked good at both resorts. Lots of friendly CM's and good customer service. I'd be glad to answer any questions.
