We checked into a 1 BR at OKW on 3/23, and a 2 BR on 3/25, then two nights in a BCV studio on 3/27. The check in at OKW was painful both times, the CM's seemed to be having trouble with their computers. The first check-in took over an hour between two trips to the counter (the new CM the first time didn't give us any keys), and 45 minutes for the second check-in on 3/25. Part of the delay the first time was trying to find us a 1 BR we wouldn't have to move out of, so that we didn't mind. We got room 3537 on Turtle Road. Non-smoking, third floor, fairly quiet. View was all tree tops, from the studio as well. The room was in good shape, but there were several obvious stains on the carpet, and we didn't use the bathroom fan because it was very loud. Now that I'm thinking of it, I will send an e-mail to OKW to let them know about this. We were directly across from the bus stop, and walked over to use the pool and hot tub a couple of times at Turtle Pond. The friends staying with us for a few days were very impressed with the facilities and we made good use of the kitchen for breakfasts. Our BCV check-in was much faster, though more problems when the CM tried to print a parking pass for us. We got studio room 416, a location we liked. It was just around the corner from the main elevators, and directly across the hall from the laundry room. Our balcony overlooked the pool. We had to make sure our curtains were shut because they were using a hydraulic lift to fix something in the eaves outside our room. My DH thought it looked like they were fixing problems from a roof leak. They were also painting trim in the hall, sort of. The guy assigned to do it was pretending to paint, anyway. He spent most of his time ducking into the laundry room to watch TV. Very nice room, though it gave me second thoughts about three of us in a studio for five nights in June. Once the sofa is out, there's very little room. But we surely love the location and the pool there! We ate at Cape May for breakfast Friday morning, and chatted with Dorothy. Nice lady, we'll have to visit her again! Weather was beautiful, cooler on the cloudy days. We had one day (Sun. 23) of all-day drizzle. The parks seemed very crowded in the mornings, but by the afternoon not so bad. Our first-timer friends got to see the highlights and we had a great time eating on the patio at Rose & Crown Wednesday night, at E-night on Tuesday, and Prime Time cafe for lunch on Thursday. Great trip, going back soon!

Thanks for the trip report. Sorry you had trouble with the check in process, but it sounds like you had a good time. Glad to hear you will let OKW know about the problems you noticed in the rooms.

Laughed when I read this - due to my DH who also cannot stand to be away from the TV during the NCAA basketball or hockey tournaments. Last weekend seemed to have non-stop NCAA basketball games on TV. The painter was probably a big fan or had a favorite team actually in the tournament. He probably thought it was cruel and unusual punishment to have to work that weekend. (I know my DH would, LOL)!. Hopefully, he made up for his many "breaks" later.

Hope your next trip is even better than this last one!

Carol, it was Friday. And the only thing on the TV was CNN. Maybe he's worried about being drafted, so he was watching the war coverage. I crossed the hall numerous times doing laundry, and sometimes he would be standing there reading his instruction card I guess. Later in the day, he was gone. Probably reassigned someplace with a supervisor! I just always think, there go my dues. Diana
