We loved Ohanas. Second time there for me but had a party of 15 and everyone loved it. food and service great. contests fun for the kids even the older ones. Fireworks wonderful and went outside on beach to watch boat parade after. Everything was wonderful.

So glad to hear you enjoyed! We went for the first time last September on our first night at the Poly. It was as terrific as we had heard. I don't eat much seafood, but I was quickly addicted to those won tons! Can't wait to go back.

We were there two weeks ago and really liked it. We had a great server who was very good with the kids. I only eat fish and seafood and she brought me lots of extra shrimp. DH said the best things were the chicken wings on the lazy susan and the shrimp. The salad and won tons were very good too. We went there after having been to Boma the night before and enjoyed the atmosphere of O'Hana more. We liked Boma, but O'Hana was just quieter and not so chaotic.

Ohana was probably our favorite meal of our trip. It was relaxed, excellent food and the servers were wonderful. It offered something for everyone- games for the kids (without being as loud as Whispering Canyon- which we also enjoyed), tropical drinks for the adults, and the fireworks was magical for all of us. It will definitely be a repeat for us again and again. And the wontons were terrific!!!

Our family just had dinner at 'Ohanas last weekend!! It was excellent!!!

I highly recommend this restaurant.

I ditto the praise of the previous posters. My family just ate there last Friday and loved it. I liked the wontons and wings on the lazy susan. The skewers were really good, as well! Not to mention, the pineapple and caramel were delicious! Excellent restaurant!

JUST WONDERING WHAT IS IN THE WONTONS?? ALSO WHAT ARE ON THE SKEWERS? THANKS..AMY

The wontons have shrimp and vegetables in them. They are great- not too shrimpy if you are not fond of shrimp flavor. The skewers include steak, shrimp, turkey, & pork...all very good. There are dipping sauces to dip your meat and wontons in- I liked the peanut sauce!! Yummmm- I can't wait to go back someday!

I absolutely agree with all the rave reviews of O'hana. In all our trips to WDW we had never tried this restaurant until last summer. We liked it so much we ate there twice. On the second trip we brought 2 other families with us (12 in all) and they all loved it too. My DS and his friend (both 19) ate 55 and 49 shrimp respectively. And I thought nothing could fill them up! This summer we'll be at WDW for my b-day and I've already chosen O'hana for my b-day meal.

Aloha cousins!!

We went to 'Ohanas for the first time last October and loved it. Good food, fun, fabulous service in a great setting; it's what Disney restaurants are all about.

For our upcoming trip we were going to give it a pass, but after reading all these posts I keep watching for our server to bring another skewer of meat! We're changing our PS's to include 'Ohanas!

Can't agree more about O'Hana. Had our first visit only last week and loved it.
The food was plentiful and tasty. Loved our server and the homey atmosphere. The kids loved the coconut races and hula hooping.

I love the salad dressing, the stir fry veggies and would probably knock over an old lady to get the chicken wing sauce recipe.
;)

Anyone know it?

Later "cousins!!"

O'Hanas was dh's favorite meal on our honeymoon (and he's a picky/hard to please eater!) We'll definitely be going back on our next trip! :D

We ate there last summer and we can't wait to bring the kids back this summer. My wife loved the salad dressing. I loved the meat.

I have a pickie eater (DH)..does the meat have veggies with them on the skears?

Marissa

Hi..so glad to hear such great things as I plan this for our first night's dinner. It will be Saturday, August 23. I'd love for the kids to be able to see the fireworks. Should we eat and then go outside to watch? Or should I request a seat by the window? My kids are 8, 5, and 2. Also, do they still have the Electrical Water Pageant, and is that visible by the restaurant as well?

Thank you!!!

Lisa

p.s. We aren't staying at the Polynesian.

You can either request a table by the window or go out on the poly beach for firewrks.. For the boat parade go out on the poly beach.

the meat doesn't come with veggies on the skewers. When you are first seated you are given some yummy sweet Hawaiian bread. Then you get your appetizers- honey coriander chicken wings, shrimp and veggie filled wontons, pork fried rice, salad with honey lime dressing and stir fried veggies. PLus 3 dipping sauces- peanut, BBQ and a fruit sauce that looks like baby food (it's mushed apples and bananas I believe). Then your server will come around with these huge skewers of meat- we were first offered turkey and steak, and they give you plenty. Then a few minutes later our server came back with big shrimp and pork loin pieces..you get as much as you want and it's very flavorful. They use Asian inspired marinades and it's BBQ'd over a big open flame pit they have in the restaurant. Delicious! At the end you get a cut up pineapple with caramel to dip it in.
