I just got off too (post vacation blues) and I loved every minute !!!! The food was good but I liked the old menus better too. Lets see if can remember....
The only things I didn't like were the chicken with mushrooms in the puff pastry. It sounds better than it tasted, the chicken had no flavor. Oh, and the roasted veal wasn't to my liking, so I asked for a steak that was awesome. It had a spicy citrus rub. One of the "new menu" nights I had scallops and lobster over pasta. My hubby LOVED the bass. He said it was his favorite. None of the desserts stand out except for the ones at PALO. Yummy! OH, I almost forgot, on the princess menu there was a white chocolate glass slipper with mango mousse, raspberry mousse and pineapple mousse. MMMMmmmmm !!!!!! But some of the appetizers and salads were a little weird. I don't like duck or cold fish. Some of the main courses were odd pork things or lamb but there was always something in the steak family or shrimp/scallops/lobster that was very good.
The dessert buffet was amazing but I was too full from dinner. The only reason why I am rebooking with early dinner seating! I went in a grabbed a black raspberry mousse creampuff. Mmmmm!
The last 4 nights were the same menus, I think... I'll have to double check that. I miss the ribs and caribbean wings from Parrot cay and the strawberry shortcake! There were a few standards that I missed. But with that said.... I'm sure I gained about 6 or 7 pounds just the same.
