just back from MAGIC 8/19/06

We were on the Cruisin Castaways and had a marvelous time.. So many friends to see and so many more to meet. Its funny how so many people did different things on the same ship.

We left here on FRIDAY and had a pretty uneventful trip to the RADDISSON. Although we asked for a non smoking room. it still smelled pretty bad.. They came and sprayed it. It lasted a few hours.. We went off to GRILZS and met some great friends. ANDY has posted most of the pics so I wont do that again..

We met up at the pool later that night and had a mini dis meet.. My sisters and I, the Browns, Darlene and my childhood friend that happens to live on MERRITT ISLAND were at the pool and saw these ladies prancing in wearing
"toilet seat covers" on their heads. We were hysterical laughing at them.. sure enought TERRY guessed what they were doing. They were bridesmaids on the CARNIVAL cruise in the AM.. and they were wearing the HATS..like they did years ago.. How we laughed...

We went to bed at about 1230 am.. when my Dh and I pulled outthe couch.. it was broken.. it was way to late to call and change rooms so we slept on the floor.. needless to say it was an uncomfortable night afterall.. up bright and early.. we went to the RADDISSON buffett for a fantastic breakfest.
I was telling the waitress about our bed..and she gave us breakfest for free.. Never saw that coming to us.. My friend PATTY met us after breakfest and my Dh took her car back to her house that we used for the night and then we waited for the 1030 shuttle..

So far all is going smooth..Met some other DISers on the shuttle.. Met more at the PORT.. Had to rearrage some items at port when it said no ETOH in the carry ons.. so my daughter went and checked in another suit case for me.
Check in went fast .. we got #2..saw more DISers there,DORI and DEVIN,, (how he grew up). got our KTTW card and we were ready.. Loved the new PIC.. our eyes were opened this time..

My sister was amazed. FIRST TIME CRUISER.. went to PARRAT CAY.. saw some old faces... felt at home..
walked to our cabin at 115pm.. and got in at 130.. luggage was there shortly after by 2pm.

set up the room and got ready for the dis meet... We got name tags, staws, stickers, a face for the name.. the kids went off to their new friends. What a great turn out this was. All the GREEN and White shirts that were there. We all stayed a long time too.. now it was time for the safety drill... we had deck 4.. ( I was in the back in the shade). The sail away was pretty neat. Denise and John helped open up some champange I had to share. The bubbles were flying.. and we were having a great time. Oh yeah.. i did wear my CROCS/wholly soles or what every you might call them.. and I did fall 3 times on deck.. I love my shoes.. but they were slippery onthe wet spots..

Now it was time for the shows.. and dinner..
Right now I need to get things ready at home.. will right more later..

In the past they have not enforced the "no alcohol" issue. Are they enforcing now?
