Just back from Legoland, Seaworld, Carlsbad beach

We spent a really nice week in Carlsbad and went to Legoland for three half days, drove to Seaworld, and played on the beach. We stayed at the Carlsbad Seapointe, right across the street from a nice beach. We have two kids, 5 & 8, who both had a really great time.

I have to say, it was sad to not visit DL while it was just an hour's drive away , but when we visit DL, I want to stay at the GCH, and it was too expensive for this year.

If anyone has any questions, I'll be happy to try and answer!

That sounds like a really nice trip! I would LOVE to take my family to Legoland, DL and to see the giant sequoia trees in CA, but we live all the way on the other side of the USA. The flight for a family of 5 is just too much! You're lucky to be closer!

It was fun, except for the driving. It took us 7.5 hours (with 3 stops) to get there, and 8 hours (with 4 stops) to get home. Carlsbad is only an hour's drive (or so) from Anaheim, so I waved as I drove by both times. I could see the Matterhorn and the Tower of Tower.

If you flew, you'd probably get there before we did !

Hello my husband and I are staying at the seapointe resort for 1 week next august, we are then moving to anaheim for 2 nights before our cruise.
We are planning on seeing seaworld and the zoo plus maybe another day in san diego. Have you any tips for us or recomendations for the rest of or time

We will be taking our vacation the week of Thanksgiving. Five days at DL and 2 days at Legoland. We are staying at the Pacific Palasades. I hear it adjacent to LL and I hope not too far of a walk.

August will be a great time at Carlsbad Seapointe. We had our kids with us, so spent a lot of time at Legoland. I would have loved to visit the Zoo! La Jolla is a nice area, the beaches are nice, too. Balboa Park used to be one of my favorites, for Shakespeare in the park (before kids). What kinds of things do you like to do?

Grand Pacific Palisades is very close to Legoland. I would LOVE to spend five days at DL, you are so lucky! Enjoy the holiday decorations and all the fun!

You're sooo lucky it only takes you 7.5 hours to get there! It took us 25 hours to drive from B.C., Canada to Anaheim, with an overnight in Redding, CA. We did that drive during July/August this year and spent 3 fabulously glorious weeks in SoCal.

Guess what our youngest DD's fave place was during the whole trip??? Not DL. It was Legoland. LOL!
