Just back from Italy on World Passport

There is some Pelagone Resort information and a few photo's on the DVC website. After accessing the site, click on "Resorts and Member Getaways" then "World Passport Collection" then "Buena Vista Trading Company" then "view" under Club Cordial. The resort also has their own website that has more information and photos.

While the resort is available through both BVTC and II, it is not available through BVTC for 7 nights nor would it would it be 160 points if it was. Had to be an II exchange. BTW, it's not a 5* II resort. Is it OK if I offer this info to TUG to post since there's no info there on the resort?

Thank you for the report of your wondeful trip!

Bobbi:D

Thank you so much for posting this report. This is just the sort of trip my husband and I are planning to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, so it was great to get a first hand report from a fellow DVC member.

Sounds like such a wonderful experience. I definately want to see Italy. But I want to go to England first.

Thanks for sharing your experience & tips with us.

Please post pictures if you can. Italy has such natural beauty I would love to see the pictures.

I can't add any commentary on the resort that was reported on, but I can offer a lot of commentary on travelling to Italy. Not sure if it's completely appropriate for this board so I'll merely offer to PM with anyone who'd like more information on a trip to Italy.

I went to Italy 2 years ago for 16 days with several friends. We flew into Rome, spent a few days there before renting a car and spending the next 5 days driving through Tuscany. We then spent 4 days in Florence and another 4 days in Venice before returning home. I would go back to Italy nearly as fast as I would go to Disneyworld. I loved the country, the countryside, the people and the food. It has to be the most amazing trip I've ever taken and I'd be happy to share any knowledge I've gleaned from my trip. I *do* recommend you learn some of the language. In the small hill towns of Tuscany there is practically *no* English and if I hadn't taken 5 semesters of Italian in college, it would have been very difficult to communicate.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about this :) Or someone let me know if it's ok to actually talk about it here.

Wow--sounds like an incredible trip! Thanks for all the great details.

I'm also so happy to hear that 160 points can get such a nice trip like this...in case my family wants to venture outside of WDW one year!

I'm actually leaving for Italy on the 29th with my daughter's Italian class. There are approximately 47 people going (37 students and about 10 adults). I've never been before, but it's a dream I've always had. Don't know how the big tour group thing will work out, but since it's my first time, I'd rather have someone with me that knows what they're doing. Talk to ya when I return!

Ciao!

Sheri
