Just Back From Home Depot Secret Mission

After taking five kids to the free movies I swung by local Home Depot to "pick up" my LGMH. I thought with five kids we would be causing such a scene no one would notice me picking out lime green paint chips. As soon as I get to the paint station and make my way directly to the Alien Green chips (for fear that I would chicken out!), as I'm reaching for the LGMHs a woman starts talking to me from behind. I turn around and she is a worker from Home Depot taking a survey!!! REALLY, do I look like I have time to discuss home improvement projects with her??? I mean I am in Home Depot and all but definitely not for home improvement!!! I just need the one little thing to cross off of my list!!! I get rid of her fast, I think all of the kids scared her away! Now my 11yo daughter wants to know why would I pick such and ugly color to paint. I guess I should have filled them in before we entered the building, But I don't want them to know I planned on STEALING a handful of paint samples that I never intended to paint with. I guess the kids have alot to learn about Disboards. They think I'm obsessed with Disney and the computer
I guess in a way they're right!!! My heart was pounding all the way across the parking lot!!! Now i'm off to call disney dining for the thousandth time to try and change things around a bit!

I feel for you in Home Depot. I did the same thing a few weeks ago. I needed to "borrow" some and I came away with a handful. Right as I am putting them in my purse my DD9 says, "Mommy, are you going to steal all of the Mickey heads?". Really loud. I almost passed out right in front of the paint chips.

Ok, what do you do with the lime green mickey heads? I know it has something to do with the dis boards, but please fill me in. I may have to run to Home Depot and grab some before my trip in Oct. Am I supose to display them somewhere when I go?

I will be displaying them on my backpack or camera bag, whichever I carry around the park. I have to figure how to attach them now.

I cut mine out, glued 2 of them back to back, laminated them (with postal tape) punched a hole thru it & plan to attach it to my fanny pack (I know I know-but then I don't have to lug a purse around)

My daughter thinks I'm crazy and when I told my husband during dinner he just shook his head and laughed. They just don't get it. What in the world will I be obsessed with when I return from WDW next month? God knows it will be too depressing to log onto the disboards and see everyone talking about how many days left until their trip .

That is a hilarious story I put my dmom up to getting mine and she got the wrong colors. I think she got sonic boom instead of alien green. LOL. Now I guess I'll be up for an adventure myself!

HAHA- I did the same thing-but I grabbed a few of every green they had....
I know what you mean about being depressed once you come back-I think my husband thinks I'm hooked on these boards-I won't want to read too much of these either

Do you think Home Depot knows about this? Do they think ALOT of people are painting their rooms Alien Green??

I sent my mother in to get some more for me. I was to embarassed to walk back in. I realized when I got to the car someone mixed the alien green in front with the purple behind. My mother ended up walking in and the sales person came right over to her and asking if she could help her. She asked what she planned on painting. I thought my mom would die when she got to the car.
