 I needed extra days to use the rest of our "Water parks and more" tickets.
I shopped Priceline for extra days. The HOJOME was listed at $34, with plenty
of good reviews from customers. I checked in and they gave me a welcome pack with 2 breakfast bars, a ladys razor, kids upset stomach tabs, 2 packs of tylenol, 2 samples of trident. Kids eat free at IHOP or Shoney's. We ate over at IHOP, and ate the buffet which was $8.49 for adults plus drinks. They gave us 2 kids buffets free, matching 2 adults. The room was basic, as in most reviews rooms seem damp, but this is normal here. The POP room we were in was the same! The room was fine for the price! The hotel was not crowded for Memorial day weekend. We drove into the parks becuse the bus only run to TTA at 8:40 and 9:40, then epcot run was around 12:00. pirate:

hey they must have greatly improved the place.

go read some of the post on tripadvisor.

this is a very nice review!!! not many really cheap hotels are nice and close to WDW.

Thanks for the great review.

The only thing I don't understand is the sad face on your post. It sounds like everything went well and you got a great deal....like 1/3 of the price of POP, right? :) Why the gloomy face? :)

I wondered that too..but then I realized it's because (s)he's "back" (no longer at WDW), at least I think that's why???

I thought the same you you did. First I wondered why, but then I thought/realized, it is because the OP is back from vacation.

We stayed there 2x last summer, the day before and after our Pop Century stay. Its not a bad place at all. I think the rooms were roomier than Pop. Basic, but it served our needs. The first day I dont even remember much since we just passed out after driving 12 hours! We stayed on the side facing I-192 first and the room seemed newer or better maintained. The 2nd night we were facing the back side and the room seemed older and some shady looking neighbors, but fine overall. Great deal for less than $40 a night. It was nice to have the IHOP right on site. We will pbbly stay there again this November before we check into Pop.

Is this the one next to Silver Lake Resort? Just curious. Or is that the one they changed to a condo hotel. Seem to remember it closed last time for renovations.

DD and I stayed there in January- we paid $30/night from Hotwire. It was basic, no frills, but fine for us. We needed a clean, close to WDW place to sleep and shower in, and it was great for that. We even got a "deluxe" room with a kitchenette for that price.

This is great to know. Recently there have been some people asking for a nice, no frills hotel at a budget price and now we can refer them to this place.
Thanks for posting.

Maingate East is on 192, east of I-4, basically across the street from the entrance to Celebration. It took us less than 15 mins to get to the TTC in the mornings. Not a condo hotel- just basic motel style accomodations- outdoor entrances, 3 story buildongs, outdoor pool and hot tub.

I had the choice of two at maingate, the Days Inn and this Ho Jos which had better reviews or for $2 extra the Ramanda Plaza Orlando. Im kinda wishing now I got one at the maingate, but I went with the Ramanda because it had free internet and I was bringing a laptop.

I went thru Orbitz. I hope Im not sorry not bookig the Ho Jos which said it was next to the Plaza with places to eat.

We were there in April. My nephew booked two rooms, one for him his girlfriend, their baby and his mom and one for my son, grandson and me.
they got a regular room which was nice although they are smokers and the smoking room stunk too much fo rme to sit with them. Our room was the one with the kitchenette.
My sister rented a cot for $5 a night and she wound up staying in the kitchenette on the cot and was very comfortable. The kitchenette had no A/C but even with the door shut she was comfortable.
I was very surprised to see how clean it was although I was a little uncomfortable with some of the people that were hanging around the stairway late at night.
I am now trying to get a room there for the 4th since I decided last minute to go to the fireworks at WDW. I will ask for a room in front just because I am staying alone.
