Went to Universal and IOA stayed 2 nights at Hard Rock and 3 at Port Orleans-Riverside...
5 kids ages 4 to 14...

Hard Rock was great for the location but not for dining options...loved the room we had the Deluxe...music got old after awhile! Great pool...staying onsite was worth it...Went on almost every ride without a wait...I think next time we will stay at the Royal Pacific...Downside of parks closing early was looking for a place to eat within walking distance and without waiting...Nascar and some pasta place...

Love to answer any questions!!

Hope ya'll had a great time!
So, what's the verdict on HRH's "The Kitchen" restaurant?
Was the pool heated any?
Thanks!

The menu looked good and not for our kids 4 & 8 and yes the pool was heated....

City Walk was better for us!! just hard to find something when the parks closed we learned our lesson and made reservations the 2nd night

they had an ice cream/bakery that was just fine for us in the morning...

Thanks for sharing. How was the service at the hotel?

Service....My daughter is in 2nd grade and I remembered her report card and they said it is a summer thing but she still got 2 free tokens for ice cream and she was thrilled with that...

I do believe that they cater more toward teenagers...I was always telling my kids to be quiet and always felt like I was being looked at...just my opinion...

coffeemaker in the room was such a nice treat...the room was oustanding!!....

Just curioius how were the crowds? We were at Disney this weekend for a quick trip & it was pretty crowded. Was FOTL a life saver? Or were the lines managable without it?

Crowds at Universal were not bad at all...I loved the onsite passess so worth staying onsite!!
My husband said that he wishes that he could stay at Disney and have the onsite passess...
Yes it was a lifesaver...
We probably should have done Disney first..

We didn't go on one ride at Magic KIngdom on saturday...except for the people mover in tomorrow land...

Luckily having the characters were everywhere...Disney must have know...
Thank God my kids were o.k. with it!!
