We just got back today from an 8 night stay at WL. We had the free dining plan for me, DH, DD5, and DD7. We had so much good food. We also had no problems with service. We ended up leaving extra tip for almost all of our TS meals.
8/27 Le Cellier - We went here for the first time. My DSil and DBil joined us for a couple days. They also had the free dining plan. Our waitress Char was WONDERFUL! My DH and DBil are absolutely ruthless on servers with their joking and questions. She rolled right along with the. Our meals were very good. Char made sure to explain the rules for the meal plan. The surf and turf was included. Add ons like a lobster tail or shrimp were not. We ordered one kids meal and payed cash. That was not problem.
8/28 50's Prime Time - We split meals with the girls here. I got them soup and then split the fried chicken with them. We ordered them their own dessert for the make your own sundae. The smore's were to die for. Our server was ok. I'm not sure if his attitude was his act or if he was just having an off day. He brought everything out well and was pretty attentive so I'm figuring it was his act.
LTT - We had a later seating here. The food was very good. I loved the steak. The potatoes and gravy were pretty good too. The characters made it around a couple times. Our waiter had good intentions but was a little overwhelmed.
8/29 WCC- breakfast. This was a cash meal. My DSil and DBil paid since we had paid for their package for them. The food was good. Nice and filling. Our waitress was very in character. We got the ketchup treatment and the girls had fun passing it on to the next table.
Teppanyaki - I wasn't impressed. Our chef wasn't very showy. The ables around us had chefs doing tricks and stuff. Ours didn't do much. The food was ok. My DH enjoyed it. He talked with the chef a lot.
8/30 CRT - My DD5 birthday. The girls dressed as Aurora and Jasmine. The waitress gave DD5 a magical moments certificate and all the princesses signed it. The food was good. We got seconds quickly. The princesses took a little while to make it around but we saw them all once.
8/31 Sci-Fi - Great waiter! Wish I could remember his name. This was the first time we sat in the cars. The girls had a blast. They were in the front and therefore the "drivers". We stuck with burgers. Got onion rings for apps. The kids had a veggie w/dip and friut w/cheese for apps. No ordering apps of adult menu.
Biergarten - standard for our trips. Wasn't as impressed as normal. It wasn't bad just nothing jumped out as wonderful this time.
9/1 Nine Dragons - We were going to do Boma's but switched. Neither of us were up to the hike and weren't in the mood for new and different. We had some transportation issues and ended up almost an hour late. The were able to seat us with very little wait. The waitress let our kids order off the adult menu for both apps and entree. Neither liked the kids choices. The really brought some magic back after the bus issue.
9/2 1900 Park Fare - We liked the food. The quality was good. We weren't impressed with the amount of choices. It didn't seem like a lot. DD5 ate mostly cucumbers/carrots and dip. The characters made it around a few times. Cinderella even picked up the fact we had seen her already. Of course DD7 had to comment that she no longer had freckles.
We did CS on first night and last day plus a few in between. Usually we shared two or three meals between us. We were allowed to use fresh fruit as a dessert whenever we asked. We ended up with something like 10 extra CS credits.
Snack we used mostly on waters. We tried ice cream once and it ended up mostly on the ground. We had a few of these left also. We had planned to get some water and pop for the road but spaced it when we left.
All in all we thought the dining plan was great. Even if we paid for it, it would be a good deal for us. We really liked the TS meals. That's part of the vacation to us.
