Just back from Fantasy!

Hi - we are planning on the Random Winds sailing in July. Other than the transportation to the boat, did you have any other concerns?

We did the Randomwind sailing as well and we loved it, would do it again in a heartbeat if ever in St Maarten again! It's not a 1st world countryside for sure. We never felt unsafe in our transportation but I wouldn't wanted to have been walking around some of the areas we drove through. Our driver had a large 11 or 15 passenger van and it was full of people. We met in front of a restaurant (Skip Jack's) and while it wasn't super touristy I never felt unsafe. But other people were already there. We waited maybe 20-30 mins until the hostess met us. I put more details in my TR.

No one got sick on the boat that day but seas were pretty smooth for the day for us.

thanks for the info! We are on the next sailing! Can't wait for Saturday! We have a snorkel excursion booked for St Maarten, now I'm wondering if the water is going to be too choppy to see much...
Glad to hear Budget was good, we have a car booked upon return with them :)

I imagine that the drop off for a car rental heading to the ship would be worse than picking up after a cruise. I would definitely do it again with either company... just have to allow more time for the drop-off and the transfer. We were a little late for our PAT

I really am not bothered by other people at any buffet. I just get what I want and move on... I really take no interest in what other people are eating. I did not find anyone rude.... everyone seemed to be patiently waiting in my experience...but Flo's was a good alternative and the main dining areas if that bothers you.

I just asked the kids and they don't remember seeing any jellyfish around the Pelican plunge and we did not see any at the first beach....they must be a come and go experience. We are used to the beach, ocean and its wildlife so the fish in the water wouldn't necessarily even register but that barracuda definitely freaked them out a little .... they kept swimming but eyes were on the water after that....:) hahaha

The breakfast is still there and the head waiter said that they were still working out the kinks (no idea what they were... our kids had no interest) but he said people have been pleased and it was getting positive feedback. Seems like it will be a go for a while.

Jayhawk... don't be anxious... I wasted months being anxious and the experience was truly magical :)

St Maarten was not a stop on our cruise but it's on the bucket list :) but maybe not the Random Winds Sailing Lol

That is good to hear! My kids are around the same age as yours, so I hope they have a great time too :)

We did the Disney Junior breakfast on our 4/25 sailing and what a bust that was. The host led us to what he called the "VIP" section since we were staying in concierge, I guess. It took forever to get our drinks and breakfast plus it was cold and our order was wrong. There are 4 characters (Jake, Mickey, Sofia and Doc), everyone skipped over our table. We spoke to our waiter about it who got the host who we spoke to also. When the photographer was behind us with Mickey, we mentioned to her that they had missed our table. When the handler came around, she said are you sure we haven't already been to your table, like we were trying to request a second meet and greet. I made sure I told our concierge host. She asked if we would like to book another visit to the breakfast. Absolutely NOT!!!! Luckily, we did get a survey form to complete for it.
