Hi- We got back from our 2 weeks :cool1: in Florida :sunny: about a week ago. We had an awesome time. If anyone has any questions about either of these resorts I will try my best to answer them.

Can you tell us a bit about the Embassy Grand Beach? Pools, rooms, Location?

How was CPGV? We'll be there in two days. Is there any particular section we should request that seems more convenient or better than others? How was the pool area and the store/snack area?
Can you tell we're excited? Thanks for any info.

We stayed in the Grand Villas last summer and I remember that Bldg. G is the newest of that section and we were happy with it. It wasnt a long walk to the pool on that side and also the pool and activities on the other side

Embassy Grand Beach is really nice :flower: . We had 3 bedrooms 1 King in MB with a large jaccuzzi tub, seperate shower , and a door for the toliet. The 2nd br also had a King size bed, a large tub, seperate shower, and the 3 br had 2 twin size beds with a sepertate bathroom with tub/ shower stall and the LR has a queen size ss. SURPRISINGLY Very comfortable. All br's had TV's . There is a full kitchen and a w/d in the unit. We stayed on the 4th floor in the middle section. We had a balcony with a view of small lake. The grounds are really nice. There are 2 pools, both are nice nothing great, but never overcrowded. They have a lake with a beach area with sand and hammocks (no swimming). a few docks to look out over the lake. We went fishing and my nephew caught a huge bass. The have paddle boats and canoes for rent and they also offered wave runners and small boats for rent down the street. The activity staff was pretty good for the kids (we were their for Easter so they had a lot of cute easter stuff planned :) ) They had tennis courts, basketball courts, and sand volleyball. The gym is tiny. I also liked the under the unit parking garages. My car was never overly hot, although our building did not have cars under it so I don't know if the noise was bothersome. I would really recommend this place. It's a short drive to DD and all the theme parks & near lots of places to eat.

CPGV paled a little in comparison, but we only stayed in a 1 bd so i'm not sure how the larger units here are. We stayed in a 2bd at CP last year and liked it. The 1 bd had a full size ss in LR/ kitchen area. Small table and kitchen but fine for the 2 nights we stayed. Bedroom has a queen bed and is seperated by glass wall and door. The light on ceiling fan in kitchen didn't work so I called maintance and they never came which made the room kinda drab. We didn't swim at pool at GV cause my kids remembered the one at CP with the slides and Volcano so we went there. The pool was not HEATED (very cold) For the price thru Hotelkingdom, I still think this is a great place for the price :) CPGV has its own pool and snack bar area and minature golf across the street CP has a pool (really nice when warm) with snack bar, game room w/ pool tables, and small gym. You have access to both sides regardless of which place you stay.

:flower: Anyway someone can elaborate on the fitness center at Cypress Point? It is the same one for the villas too?

How about the hours....what all is inside...how crowded?

Also do they provide towels and it there water available?

Can you tell I am a gym rat? pirate:

Thanks, DIS NURSE from Oregon

:wizard: P.S. Okay...now reading other thread related to these facility...I am highly confused as to the "old" part vs. the "new(villas)" part......if you stay in the Grand Villas can you use both pool sites? Is there only one water slide and that is with the older buildings? Thanks!

Regardless of which side you stay in you can use pools etc on both sides

 :flower: Okay...now that I have read a few more threads about Cypress Point and the villas, I understand a little more....thanks for the clarification.

:confused3 I really need to know more about the fitness facilities before I book....
:confused3 I really need more info on which is the better place to book; either the (newly renovated?) Cypress Point or the more expensive (but maybe more dated now?) Grand Villas?
:confused3 Is it wise to PREPAY the entire stay via Hotelkingdom.com like they want? This seems sketchy....are they a 100% legit company? Is the price always guarenteed? We would be booking this now for November.

We are interested in a 2 bedroom villa...or if anyone suggests differently, the 2 bedroom CP.

Thanks to all who can give info.
P.S. We have 2 kids...5 and 8. Will they like this place? :flower:
