I just returned from my second cruise on the Dream and figured I'd give a quick update. Unlike the last cruise, there were four adults in the room (12508). I booked this room for the location and the bump-out verandah. We couldn't have been happier with both. There were two lounge chairs already waiting on the verandah, which made for a nice nap or two. It was also really nice being steps away form the side of the lounge.

Food wise we ate at all there main dining rooms and also had Palo one evening. The food was incredible and I'm pretty sure I ate filet mignon every night. This was our first time doing Palo brunch and have to say that was money well spent. The selection is unbelievable. We all loved it and were lucky enough to have our same server from dinner. Our main serving team were whatever. In any regards I felt it was a much better value than brunch at Remy.

Castaway Cay day was kind of a bummer as it rained all freaking day. We had a cabana booked and attempted to make the most out of it since we figured we were paying for it. However, the rain got so bad that one of the concierge hosts told us if we went back on the boat now we wouldn't get charged for it. Needless to say, we took advantage of that and saved $600. We did really enjoy the BBQ though.

Since we had $600 to play with as we saw it we booked massages.

The cruise director was Jimmy and I thought he did a wonderful job. The concierge hosts were Danny, Angeline, and Tracy. It was an awesome feeling walking back in there and them remembering my friend and I from the previous cruise.

The new concierge sundeck is huge improvement with covering. Satellite Falls is awesome... when you first board or are at port. On the day at sea it was more packed then kids pool.

Last time we did not park at port and it ended up being nothing short of disaster. This time I paid to park at port and it was worth every cent.

The beer mug program ended up being worth its weight in gold. :drinking1Glad to see that ::MickeyMo has stepped up his beer game.

Let me know if I can answer any questions.

How is the beer game stepped up?

Nice of them to not charge for the cabana.

Glad you enjoyed the room. For us that balcony was lost on us. (Had that room on our last day cruise) We will leave it to those who enjoy it more!

Glad to hear Danny is back and you had a good time.

I love the bump outs too...so excellent. Happy surprise that the cabana fee was refunded, not sure I've heard of that before.

We are on the 6/10 sailing and can't wait to see Danny again. Glad you had a great time.

We're in that same room next May and glad to hear the loungers are there. Sweet, so you had no issue booking a cabana? I worry that they run out because there are more concierge rooms than cabanas

Sorry you missed out on your cabana... we were on the same sailing and enjoyed Castaway after 1:30 - no rain at all - just some overcast skies and a relatively empty beach! :)

Ok that's good to know, I always wondered how that works but figured there were enough concierge rooms that simply just didn't want one. If my kids were older or my DD wasn't on the spectrum I wouldn't get one but with her SN we find we really need it for now. Right now I am going to try concierge just for the cabanas but I wonder if I'll ever get to a point where I do concierge just to do concierge and not really care about the cabanas. I am sure I'll get there lol.

How much did you pay for the cabin?

When we first booked there were only two of us going which came to $3k through the travel agent. Then we picked up two more and they got added for $800 a person. I wanna say somewhere around $5k.

We put our request into shore side a few days later than we should have. Originally we wanted Serenity Bay but were only able to get Cabana 7 which was perfect... When it wasn't raining and lightning.

So what was the difference in the beer situation?

I've never found a beer onboard I wanted to have. Let alone wanted to have MORE of for the same cost as a smaller glass. What's new?

They have a lot more Draft Selection, especially in 678 Sports Bar. They also had some more craft beers, which was amazing! However, the Angry Orchard on draft definitely was epic when we decided to have multiple Angry Balls LOL

I've found that just about every bar on the ship had a different selection so you certainly had to wander around to find something. I also appreciate that they are providing alternatives to the usual suspects like Bud and heineken. I'm not expecting them to have small craft distributors or specialy niche bottles of exclusive runs. Just something fun and different to try! I had to look up what an Angry Ball was. I'm either old or don't drink enough. :teeth:

I stuck to Jai Alai on draft in the 22 oz mugs or as @sdribben stated we got the 22oz mugs filled with Angry Orchard with double or tripple shots of Fireball added. That was good enough for me in terms of Disney. We brought on 4 Dogfish Head 120's and 2 Founders KBS so we were set.
