Just back from Disney - Ride Delays!

Umm, not sure that last bit was called for. :confused3 I have no issue with a ride needing to accomodate those who need assistance to board and exit a ride. However, the thread here is about rides that have had stops recently, and The Little Mermaid is notorious for it, and for far longer periods of full on stopping than it would take for a wheelchair bound person to board safely. I'm talking so long that there's numerous 'please stay seated' messages being played before we start going again. Sharing my experience with this hardly suggests that I am intolerant of those with special needs.

Yes I agree!!

Splash went down after the big drop for about 5 minutes last week.Carousel of progress gliched. So we had to sit through the first scene twice and Peter pan went down for a few minutes at opening.

Space was the longest was down for about 30 mins I think so I rode it towards the end of my fp time.

We were there last week of January and our first day at MK we waited about 15 minutes for Pooh early in the morning. The ride had barely started (we could still see the loading dock) when it stopped. We sat there about 5 minutes and they came around with a ladder to walk us off.

As we left the CM gave us a paper FP for every person in our party, including the 10 month old who didn't need one, so we had 8 in total. Each FP was good for up to 5 people for a ride. And they were good for the whole week.

Twice we tried to use them at POC and the CM didn't collect them (I think it was the same CM on two different days) and let us keep them. Then after our second day at MK we had 3 of them left and I asked the front desk at our hotel if we could exchange them for ones that would be good the next day cause they expired on the 31st and we weren't going back to MK until the 1st of Feb. They ended up giving us 16 paper individual passes (cm made a math error).

So we went to MK on a relatively busy Saturday and waited no longer than 15 minutes the entire day because we had 3 FP+ scheduled plus the 16 paper fastpasses.

That was the best ride breakdown EVER!

Last year at DHS the entire park shut down for 40+ minutes! :mic:

No one knew when things would be up again, or offered any reparation, like entry to another park. That was really frustrating!...ironically, the giftshop cash registers never lost power...:scratchin

Has anyone ever been to DHS and not have RnR shut down at least once? We went 2 different days last week and it was shut down alot both days (once during FP+ time)! Also TSM stopped >5 min while we were on it. And Splash Mtn shut down during our FP+ time. Everyone must have cleared out of that area of the park as we went to BTMRR and only waited 30 min (SB had been >60 min) and when we got off SM was back up-and the SB line was >60 min already!

Seems TS shuts down a bit but I can honestly say I dont really remember RR shutting down all that much. We usually go once or twice a year, FWIW.

Does seem that Splash is down about every time we go.
