Our last day of Disney magic came faster than a speeding bullet!
( even though we have until the 16th in Orlando!Today we checked out of the hotel @ 7:25 am without a problem. It was fast and easy! The Xmas decorations and tree were being built as we left!
We hopped in the car to AK for early entry and headed straight for the Kilimanjaro Safari! We waited about 5 minutes and were off on an adventure to see the animals. We saw everything... even animals close to the road! It was also a beautiful sunny day compared to our firsat try on the 10th!
9:15am breakfast at the Rainforest Cafe at AK. Yummy. DF and I had the Breakfast of Bandits and Ryleigh had Tonga Toast!! Huge helpings and realy good.. though my eggs were a bit runny
Park hopped over to MGM Studios for Disney Playhouse, Muppets 3D, Beauty and the Beast and the Great Movie Ride. It was our first time for Beauty and the Beast and we loved it. 4 for a dollar was awesome!!!!
And we park hopped one more time to Epcot - Future World to leave our Legacy tile of DD and DF!!! Also got to do Test Track 2X in a row with DD! She loved it!
Since we had two more nights in Orlando..... we went and checked in at our next bedding down hotel... the Holiday Inn Staybridge Suites! This was the old Wyndham Summerfield Suites and they are great. We stayed at the LBV one last December and this year tried the I drive one! We were impressed! Like I-drive becase it has an elevator, so we were able to stay on the top floor! I-Drive is smaller in property size so the pool activity is heard from almost everywhere. We got a two-bedrrom suite and were every happy with size and location though we might ask to look over parking lot next time as it would be quieter!
WE had PS seating at Wilderness Lodge's Whispering Canyon Cafe for 7pm and were meeting friends there. I ordered the rack of ribs, DF had the chicken, as did DD two drumsticks and garlic mashed potatoes. Our friends are veggies so one just had salad and the other had the veggie pasta. There was a huge chunk of plastic broken in the veggie pasta so they had to remake our friend's dish. They offered everyone free deserts, except Ryleigh who was getting a birthday treat already! I just had icecream , and our friend's had the Apple Crumble Pie and some Banana thing! They liked them though.
DD picked up a really nice waiter named "Bobby" who came over and personally wished her "Happy Birthday" ... he then started to give her stickers for all her classmates at school. Well he's pulling literally arm lengths of stickers off this roll and I'm saying..."There are only 6 kids in her class including her!" He's says "Good... they can now each have a foot long row of stickers!!" It was nice of him as all of her classmates are disabled to think of them as well. he also gave her a pin for her pin collection... one we didn't have .. the rockin, roller coaster! It ended a perfect Disney trip!
WE decided to go to Downtown Disney to pick up our last bits and bobs before leaving again this year.
