My husband and I went up to DW this weekend to look at some venues.
After all this time saying Seabreeze point would be our ceremony location, we both fell in love with the Gazebo at Yacht Club.
This is great budget wise, as with SBP, I definitely wanted some sort of transportation to the ceremony site, as the walk from BWI to SBP is not short.
We also talked to the manager at Captains Grille at Yacht Club, while eating breakfast there yesterday morning, about having a luncheon after our ceremony, and she was so helpful and said we could even do customize menus for the event, so we can control the spending and make the lunch more intimate with a set choice of food.
It will not be private, as they don't have a private area, but they will seat us all together, as long as I keep it under 30 people, and with doing an escape instead of a wishes, that will not be an issue. BUT my husband really wants to invite more people and I said the only way to do that is wishes or a ceremony at Swan and Dolphin. To me with it being a vow renewal, I would like it to be more about him and I, instead of guests and with family living out of state, there is no guarantee they would all be able to come down.
I think with the savings of not having to get transportation, and not having a food and bev minimum at Captains Grille, we may do a dessert party that night at either GF or Epcot.
It is our favorite hotel to stay at in all of Disney, so it just made so much sense to really incorporate it with our vow renewal.
