Well it's official! Our honeymoon is officially over! :( However we had a blast and ended it with a bang at Discovery Cove and Sea World. I'm going to be typing out a trip report and posting it around the end of the week, but if you have any specific questions about either place fire away and we'll be more than happy to answer!

We leave a week from tomorrow! I can't think of any questions, but I'm hoping to see your trip report before we leave. BTW, congrats on getting married!

This will be our first trip to Seaworld, although our DS went to Seaworld camp in TX last summer. I wanted to know if you went to the night show for Shamu and is it better than the daytime show? Any other shows you recommend? Btw, belated congrats. :flower:

If you have the opportunity, do both!

Years ago we visted (what used to be) Seaworld of Ohio. We did both shows and were very happy that we did!

The other show not to be missed the the Sea Lion and Otter show - it is absolutely hilarious!

We'll be at Seaworld in just a few days - can't wait!

I agree, hit both if you are able!! The evening show was my fav and I think we saw all the park shows.

Ok - question - what type of ticket did you buy & did you use the second day option? Trying to figure out which tickets allow for second day admission.

We are going to Discovery Cove in August as a celebration for my husband becoming a nurse. I booked the Trainer for a Day, but I am worried that our day may be 'over-scheduled'. My daughter (8) loves stingrays - what did you think of that pool? (this is a surprise for my duaghter and son, 10).
Thanks!!!

snoopy_mom - We were there in April and the stingray pool provides plenty of interaction with the stingrays. Too intimidating for me just because they freak me out. If she loves them, she will be thrilled in this pool.

When I went in the snorkeling pool, the stingrays swim much lower so I didn't mind them so much.

This place is incredible, the highlight of our trip. You'll have a wonderful time :)

I saw the 2 roller coasters online, but how are they?

the one is the best floor upside down one and the other is the half log flume half coaster?

I'll be visiting DC for the first time in a few weeks with my DS 10 and DN 11. What do I need to pack for the day?

Thanks!

We didn't bring anything but our ID, a credit card and a bottle of water each and had a great time. They provide towels in all the bathrooms, wet suits, floatation devices, a great lunch, snorkel equipment (with sunscreen packets inside and I'm very fair and didn't get a burn at all after 7 hours, mostly spent in the water), chairs, umbrellas, etc. We traveled light and didn't need anything else. My DD (9) and I didn't want for anything.

If you plan on buying things (snacks, trinkets, photos) you'll need money or a credit card. Otherwise, you really don't need anything else.

No replies from the original poster, are they on some other kind of honeymoon now they are back?! I've been married for 15 years, and now spend much more time on the PC!

Thanks Aprincessmom, thats exactly what I wanted to hear! I plan on doing some exploring of a sort on I Drive when we leave DC and I don't want to be bogged down.

Kudos to that! Out of all 11 times I've been to Sea World San Diego, I have not once missed the sea lion and otter show. That and Wild Arctic are the only attractions at Sea World I have done every time.
