And it was BEAUTIFUL - better than I remembered.

We were in Cabanas 8B for 7 nights/8days and loved the location. Short walk to Dig Site and easy access to Bus Stop 4. Our longest wait for a bus was mid-morning to Downtown Disney, and it was about a 30 minute wait. Other than that, busses were there within 5 minutes of our arrival at the stop. Busses were never over-crowded - we had a seat everytime we took a bus, which has never happened before.

I cannot stress enough how pretty this resort is.

And we LOVED the Dig Site - the pool slide is a lot of fun. We really had a relaxing trip - and loved every minute of being at CSR! We even hit the pool late at night after the parks and it was great - not crowded and very pleasant.

I would recommend it to anyone.

Wish I could LIVE there. :-)

We are booked for CSR June 08 and I get excited reading trip reports like this.

I love pictures too! I hate wishing away the year but that's what I'm doing!

Glad you had a great trip!

Can anyone share the rates they got for rooms fitting 5 people...
I am helping out a colleague and he and his family had stayed at POR,
and would just love to try another resort......

thanks !!

I will going to Coronado Springs on Friday. DBF and I loved it in November. I can hardely wait - this time we are going to spend more time relaxing at the pool...

The last time I was there I stayed in Casitas 4 (right by the gym) - it was also right by the first bus stop...

The first time we stayed there we were in the Casistas and never made it over to the Dig Site. This time we had more time and spent a lot of it at the Dig Site. Our room this time in the Cabanas was also close to a quiet pool, which we did not take advantage of this time around.

I must say again how pleased I was with the bus service.

We also ate one lunch at Pepper Market. It was crowded but very tasty and the portions were large.

I hope you all enjoy your upcoming visits!

Our family will be staying at CSR from Dec 18th to Dec 23rd. This is our first time staying at any Disney resort. We've either rented a house, stayed at an off-site timeshare, or stayed in an off-site hotel. What recommendations do you have for a first timer at CSR?

Thanks
ddaz

Have a great trip! You will love all the decorations at CSR!!

Check out my CSR website for pics and info on CSR.

Here are some good building choices. Make a room request on your reservation.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. (Most convenient location and most preferred)

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool (and is the olds smoking optional building).

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. It is close to bus stop #2.

Hopefully I will be there soon. We usely stay at the deluxe resorts so I hope we will like CS. I have stayed at POR and we liked it ok just not as much as the deluxe resorts we have stayed in. I have heard that CS resort is more like the deluxe resorts because it is a convention resort. Has ayone stayed at the delulxe resorts and then stayed at CS? How did you like it in comparison?

We have never stayed at a Deluxe.

As we were at CSR this past trip, my husband and I were so pleased we were saying, "this is perfect, this is all we need." We really did enjoy it. Then one night we went over to Boardwalk and we were blown away by it. And we got a good laugh out of the situation, because both are great in their own ways.

From what I have seen in my visits to Deluxes for dinner and to be nosey, they are a tad more fancy and have their extra special touches, but we really did enjoy CSR.

I just can't justify the price per night for deluxes. Other than sleeping and swimming, I'll just visit the deluxes for restaurants.

Buzz,

I totally agree.

You can see from my signature that we have only stayed at two resorts - Value and Moderate and CSR is WORLDS above All Stars - in every aspect of things. We are at the Contemporary in October because we booked late and that was really all that was left. Plus we got a nice AP rate.

CSR is perfect for us.

Thank you I am sure I will enjoy CSR after all it is Disney. Can't wait to see it. Thank you for the great review.

I stayed at CR once and that's when I decided it was CSR from then on.
