Just back from CBR!

Just got back yesterday, and CBR is GREAT however, it is HUGE! I was placed in Building 39-Trinidad South, water view, and it was VERY quiet! I am so used to ALL stars Sports and the noise, but this was very relaxing. It took me 22 min to walk from Trinidad South to the Food court area. I can see why some folks bring their cars. Food was Excellant at Shutters, and all in all would stay there again, but not during a busy week like it was last week.

I'm glad you had a wonderful time. I love CBR. I've stayed twice and willing to stay again. I haven't seen the new food court, so I guess I'm gonna have to go visit there!

We are DVC members but have stayed at CBR 3 times. It is a great place, nice pools, lots of activities, reasonable food court, and of course the poolside bar! We'd stay there again for sure.

P.S. I'm glad you had a great time, but I'd never stay in Trinidad South. That part of the resort doesn't even look like it's part of the rest of the resort! I have to commend you for the good attitude though, I've seen people come back from Trinidad South really complaining about how far removed it is from everything.

I'm glad you had a good experience!

I was there 2 weeks ago and wasn't that thrilled!! We were in Barbados bldg. 16 and it was sooo far from the food court that I only refilled my refillable mug twice! When I found out how far our room was away from everything I called the desk to see if we could switch and of course it was sold out! We also didn't get the water view that we booked and have been promised a refund which we haven't seen yet! The whole water view thing is kind of funny since when we booked our room that was all they had available !

I also found the bus situation unbearable! We waited forever every time we needed a bus and almost every one was standing room only which can be tricky for kids!!

Anyway, the resort itself was fine but I'm not sure I'll stay there again!!

So glad to hear you loved it! This will be my 3rd time at CBR. I've requested Martinique, but I'm wondering if I should ask for Jamaica/Aruba instead b/c the little trip over the bridge sounds cute. Counting down the days!

I'm just wondering how you felt the bus services were? We are going to be there in couple of weeks I'm looking forward to it, the only thing I'm worried about is the Pop Warner kids being there I want a nice quiet trip...Thanks

I was in Barbados and I didn't see a bridge! You might be thinking of another building.

But due to a Mix-up in my reservations, it being in my DH's name, I feel that is why I didn't get it. Plus the fact that it was BUSY and New Jersey-ites were ALL over the place, could explain WHY I was placed so far away. The bus service was OK, the first night, it took 18 min for a bus to come for EPCOT I kept seeing INTERNAL Busses pull up! I love how the buildings are layed out, only 3-4 rooms to a section. I also LOVE the KING sized rooms. I did not miss All Star Sports at all, except for the close proximity to the food court, and the quicker bus service.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at CBR. We will be there again in December. Can't wait. This will be our third time staying there.

Just a tip. If you go and stay there again and placed in Trinadad South you can take the internal shuttle to get to OPR if you don't want to walk.

Sorry you didn't have the greatest of experiences. CBR is a large resort; and isn't for everyone. I agree it can be a hike to the food court. Too bad you didn't utilize all the internal shuttles you saw to go there to refill your mug more often. We have been very fortunate with the bus situation. In July we never waited more than ten minutes if that for a bus. We were also lucky that we didn't have to stand. I hope our luck holds in December.
