This was my first trip in a VERY long time where I stayed offsite. Choosing a hotel was very difficult for me. We decided to try Caribe Royale. We were lucky enough to get the $99 / night rate for our 3 nights.
I traveled w/ 2 other adults. Our first 2 nights of the trip we stayed at the Yacht Club and I knew no matter which hotel I chose, it would not compare to where we came from. We chose CR b/c we had a rental car and we decided we wanted to spend most of our money for this trip on nice dinners. I priced the values and they were120ish and the moderates were 200ish.
Highlights: For the price, the hotel is very nice and I would stay there again if I was going to other places besides WDW. The room was beautifully decorated and I really enjoyed the pool area. The hotel is literally 2 miles from Downtown Disney and it is very easy to get to.
The 3 things I would change about the room are as follows: The furniture is way too big for the size of the room, there is no balcony, the door should be between the bedroom and the bathroom, not the living area and the bathroom. With that being said I would still recommend this hotel for anyone that has a rental car and is looking for the privacy w/ the extra bedroom.
I have traveled to WDW 20+ times. If I was new to WDW and if I never stayed onsite, I would definitely tell people to stay here. It's very difficult to adjust from the difference of staying onsite vs offsite.
Oh and do not eat at the breakfast buffet. You would be better off eating at the Ponderosa across the street
I hope this small review helped. I have a different perspective to offer than others so I thought I would share.
If anyone has any questions I will try to answer them.
