My sweet husband surprised the kiddies and me with a quick weekend trip. All that was available with the fla resident discount was that and the all star sports. I've never really been interested in CBR , I heard it was too spread out, and I wasn't sure the tropical theme would appeal to us, after all we live in Fl year round. However, we really enjoyed it, the cast members were all very friendly, the room clean and it did have a refrigerator in it. The grounds were lovely and relaxing, and while it was a bit of a walk, it was pleasant, although if it were really hot, I could see it might not be as fun. My little ones loved the sand beaches and playground. Pool was nice as well, had the quiet one almost to ourselves. Fun food court as well. We will definately stay here again. And we were glad we enjoyed it, especially as the parks were very full this weekend and we ended up back at the resort a large portion of the weekend.

As a fellow Florida resident-- we make many "mini" trips throughout the year-- we are going before Christmas vacation at the schools and could only get CBR too--- I am excited to try this one out

thanks again-- did you eat at the food court or Shutters there?

I'm considering switching to CBR for our trip. What would you say the ratio was of families with small children versus adults? How noisy was it?

Thanks for any info you can pass along! :D

My princess Livy, could you copy your comments on CBR to the CBR FAQ Part 2 thread listed below. It would be helpful to someone else planning a trip to CBR.

FloridaGirl , the food court is very nice with quite a selection. It has a central check out and also has a Grab and go market for pre made snacks, fruits and veggies, sandwiches, bread, donuts, etc. There is a check out there you can use.

Laralyn, I don't think CBR is noisy at all. We have stayed there when the resort was full and it wasn't noisy at all. The main pool may be crowded but the quiet pools never are.

one of the big draws for me is that you have a great chance of having a quiet pool to your self.

we had this 2 of the 3 nights we were there.

this resort does not get the credit it desrves.

my one remark would be, that this resort is better for those who have a car versus busses only.

I've heard a lot about new mattresses with pillowtops being added to the resorts - does anyone know if CBR has yet? Sounds cozy!

Lets see,
yes we did eat in the food court, twice. I thought they had a pretty good selection, and it was good. I especially enjoyed a vegetable platter they offered. It had mashed potatoes and gravy, spanish rice, broccoli, spinach, corn and a roll for 6.99 what a deal! Also had a good pressed cuban sub.
I saw a lot of families, with a pretty even mix between little kids and teens, I can't say that I noticed a lot of people without children, but thats probably because I had my 3 with me all the time, lol. ;)
It was quiet the entire time, both on the paths around and in the room. Our room was a corner room and had the nicest courtyard area with tables and chairs outside the front , very quiet and peaceful. LOVED the hammocks scattered around the resort.

No pillowtop mattress, but it was still ok.
